What's it worth?  I have glass shelves to add, and the Nintendo lighted sign didn't come with it . . .

I will give a few hundreds to have it delivered to my place...

I've seen the sign at $150-300, but haven't seen the cabinets sold.

I picked up one of these a while back on the cheap in an eBay auction with a low BIN. I've always been curious as to what it would bring at open auction, but it's SOOO heavy that I don't know of too many people that would pay to have it shipped.

Yep, the problem with displays like this is that you're going to be paying about as much in shipping as you would for the item itself.

I could have bought a pair of these for $400 when I first started collecting, but I didn't have the room or the money at the time

Large lit cases are extraordinarily expensive to buy brand-new, and extraordinarily difficult to find a buyer for once they're used...especially with modifications like the Nintendo logo. This actually hurts their value as a display. And the space/weight issues people have raised hurt their value as a collectible.

When I was buying used fixtures for my old store(and then selling them off at the end) the price was around $100-$150 for a lit counter-case (think jewelty counter) but I never priced the tallboys. When I moved into my mall spot later on, I inherited an enormous tall one for free, and when I closed up I couldn't find a buyer for it, so I had to abandon it.

IMO one would be lucky to find anyone with a truck to haul this away, so the price would be severely affected. I could probably work a seller down to $100 and promise he'd never have to lay a finger on it (I'd bring a friend and a truck) and the seller would likely be forced to accept.

Paid $800, no shipping. Worth every cent and more in my book.

I paid $200 for mine with no shipping and I thought it was a great deal. If they weren't so enormous, I think there would be a huge market for them. Having an official Nintendo product to store your NES games in is sweet.

$200 seems more reasonable to me. I need some shelving to properly display. I got a room for it if I can find one. I am honestly thinking about making something custom.

Here's the link to the original auction for mine. Check out all the sweet "mods" the old owner made to it. This thing desperately needed to be saved.

I've since removed all of the stickers, shelf paper and other crap. It looks as good as new!

I was especially fond of the "teacup storage" mod, but it all had to go. It was in the shadiest looking shanty town antique store I've ever seen. I was extremely happy to leave that craphole with my life and backside unviolated.

Congrats on the better price, but I'm happy with mine. He originally wanted $1000, so talking him down was good. I'm pretty sure he was right that getting a similar case would cost him at least about $600 or more. Front loaders are hard to come by. I had to disassemble it to get it downstairs where it is now, so I know it inside-out. I have to break out all my rarest stuff now.

Dude, you started a thread to talk about these cabinets, and people are doing just that. You asked what they were worth, and I told you what I paid for one. It's not like we're talking about Fraggle Rock in your thread or something.

I think my attraction for redheads stems from Red Fraggle...she was fucking HOT!

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."
