"It costs me exactly $5711 in subscription costs per year"

"Prepared can't wait to get his hands on the upcoming Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King."
"I plan to be at the store when it opens and will purchase 36 copies of it. With tax, it should be about $1500 for all of them."

so far we're at $7211.00, not including the 6 laptops, 5 desktops, and slew of lcds, mice and keyboards...

I prefer the Cheezing episode.  The unexpected and very detailed throwback to Heavy Metal was awesome.

This pic reminds me of my setup except instead of lots of monitors I just use one REALLY big one with 3 or 4 computers around my desk, all of them doing different stuff

BIG difference between collecting tangible objects that can be later sold for profit and running a zillion simultaneous accounts since you don't even have online friends to play with.

I was thinking the same thing, Will... just as we drool over other people's collection pics here, I'm sure there are a ton of guys out there somewhere going completely gaga over that pic too...

-------------------------

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

I never even got the appeal of wow. Ive had people pay for my account just so I would play, but I still couldnt get into it, and never got past level 23. Computer gaming is one of my favorite systems, and Blizzard si my all time favorite computer gaming company.. but wow just never did it for me. The only thing that will grab you is the MMO thing that will attatch you to people, but theres a ton of games, and free games you can do that with. The game is just boring to me.. your not closely tied into the storey, so nothing really gives me the hunger to grind, or do pointless quests. I ask myself.. why would I do that quest? why would I grind? I dont advance the storey.. it just gets me to a higher level, where my goal is the same. All the bosses keep coming back so why bother with them. A super rare item? Why do I care about a super rare item I can just buy from anyone? Maybe im missing out on something, but this game just never grabbed me. Id still rather play diablo 2.
