Found this at a Goodwill today. Bag includes a SNES without cords, 24 Not For Resale SNES games including Mortal Kombat 2. The SNES has been engraved with NMI and the carts have a sticker on the back declaring this was once property of Nintendo Merchandicing Inc. How did I do?

Wow. That case is badass, the games are all awesome too. Even if they weren't NFR it'd be an awesome pickup. But the fact that those are all NFR is like 8 layers of icing on top of the cake. You made out like a bandit I'm sure.

I picked it up mainly for the case cause most of the games are dupes for me. Then the Not For Resale got me curious and ended up here.

Everything is mint or near mint. The SNES is the only thing messed up since NMI engraved their initials into it.

You'll definitely have some people interested in those NFR carts. You got really lucky there, lol. How much did you pay for this? I'm interested what state too, because of the NMI thing too -- that might also be worth something.

I've never seen it go for sale before.  What does it go for?

I bet it was an old Nintendo Rep unloading old stuff or someone who bought it from a Rep. I know several of them around here had stock piles of free games and swag that Nintendo gave away to the reps since they did a lot of travel and spent a lot of time pushing Nintendo product back in the day.

Nice snag, Super shocked that GW did not toss that on Shopgoodwill.com. Very cool to see all those in one setting and found all at once.

so would have a Nintendo rep toured with this package? I'd love to find out the backstory.

When I worked in the Video Game Retail side, Nintendo reps would come around and put up Nintendo swag on up coming releases and also they would swap out Kiosk carts for newer games that were either being released soon or going to be with in a month or so.

After the games would be released the rep would come back to swap out old swag for new and same with the Kiosk games. What I would say this set was, was a rep who worked in the retail big name retail chains. They would eather send the games back to NOA here in WA or field destroy them or just "field destroy into their collections".  Sometimes they were allowed to keep the games and other swag promo items.
