New video released about 15 minutes ago on Facebook explaining the delay for Zelda Wii U to 2016. I'm actually okay with this as I want a complete game. I know that Wind Waker and Majora's Mask both had content excluded due to deadlines so I don't want this game to not live up to the full potential.

I'm ok with this too, it excites me to hear that they've continued to come up with new ideas as development is underway and HAVE to add it in. With a 300hr game like Xenoblade X and Star Fox (and others) coming this year I'm not too worried the Wii U won't get used enough until then

Nobody can be surprised by this. Nintendo has a long history of announcing release dates, then pushing it back to make the game better. Doesn't bother me since there's so much to play anyway in the meantime, although you'd think they would just start setting more realistic release dates from the outset.

Theres already enough games to occupy my time, i'll wait until the game is almost done before I get hyped up for it.

Not a big deal, I got some other games to complete before being fully ready to enjoy a new Zelda.

And we can't complain if they need more time to make it perfect. I prefer to have a delayed LoZ that is perfect than an unfinished LoZ released on time.

Wii U owners still has Xenoblade to fill the void this year

I dunno, with the prospect of an NX console in 2017, I'm thinking we may see this Zelda Wii U game get retooled as an NX launch title.

I'm fine as it seems like they may have some new ideas to explore. I'd rather the game just be delayed than downloading a patch every couple of weeks. Not really Nintendo's style.

Idk if that's coming out this year , that's one game they should invest time in but they'll probably mess It up.
Wonder what will they push for the holiday season since zelda is always a November thing.

It will be released for the U, the game should be at least 60-70% complete right now. I expect a Q1 or Q2 2016 release, not in 2017.

It'll probably be another letdown like Skyward Sword anyway.

NX is a "smartphone console", which could be as harmless as a licensed subsidiary publisher for all we know, so I'm not worried about the Wii U at all.

yeah how could they make the game now for whatever the NX console is? That system is still being developed. I dont see how they could have zelda nearly finished with a release within a year then have it on a whole new console.

It was never smartphone related or indicated to be so, some people decided to call it that with zero evidence for some reason

its because the news came out of the NX the same time as the information of nintendos partnership with mobile game company.

Still, I'm not worried. There's still plenty of time for the Wii U to pull ahead like the 3DS did. A lot can happen in 2+ years. The NX can get delayed just as easily as Zelda Wii U just did.
