I recently picked up a like-new copy on eBay and, when it arrived, I immediately noticed the box seems a bit off. The cardboard inside is the appropriate shade of gray, but it just seems thin and feels cheaper than some other SNES boxes I have. The end flaps are also bowed out just a bit instead of perfectly flat. Lastly, the included poster feels a bit grainy instead of perfectly smooth like the nicer pack-in maps/posters.

That being said, this is a made in Mexico box, so it could just be the manufacturing change. The colors and alignment are perfect and sharp. The included game and manual are also like-new and definitely legit. Also, it's not such a crazy expensive game to be worth such a nice repro and it was purchased from a reputable seller along with a legit BoF. I've attached some auction pictures for review.

Anyone have a copy to compare? Anyone notice these things on other Mexico boxes?

That sounds about right. The Made In Mexico versions tend to have less glossy boxes and labels but for some reason the manuals and inserts are really glossy and slightly grainy feeling.

Thank you guys. I don't have a ton of experience with SNES stuff so I'm not familiar with the variations.

Same here, NES is more of my specialty but I am aware of the variations.
