So I've had this PAL Terranigma cart for a while now and I dont have a honeybee universal adapter which I've heard is the only one confirmed to work for getting it to play on an NTSC system.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Appearantly there is a version 1.0 and a1.1 of both this game and Mario RPG. version 1.0 plays on systems with disabled lockout and version 1.1 does not. I have both games that do not play on my Retro Duo, though Mario Rpg does play on my Snes.

So far I've tried:

Removed tabs from snes-Plays Japan games, not pal (I have no other pal games to test)

Tried using game genie as a converter--no luck there either.

Has anyone here had any success playing this game on a US system?

Does anyone have a honeybee adapter?

I was thinking about selling it and buying a ntsc repro, but then I cant test it to confirm that :

1)it works, 2) battery holds a save, 3) the language is English (wasnt there also a French and German release?)

I do know: 1)Its European (not Japanese or Australian) and 2) My camera sucks

I thought that Terranigma only works in a PAL system. I could be wrong though.

I have a honeybee adapter and that does not make PAL games work on a NTSC system. All it does is let you play Japanese games on the SNES without having to break the tabs. I have the PAL Starwing Competition cart and I have tried many things to try to get it to play on my NTSC SNES and none of them have worked. I talked to many people and no one I talked to knows how to do it if it can be done.

I would recommend getting NTSC repo if you want to play it on a NTSC SNES system.  Either that or play the ROM on a NTSC SNES with a backup unit like the Super UFO or that device from RetroUSB.com that lets you play ROMs on the SNES system.

Okay, thanks for the help guys. And you can get a repro of this in ntsc here

http://www.gamereproductions.com/categories/SNES-%252d-Super...

Takes a month or more to get it, but he does great work. I got my firemen snes cart there and it looks great. ( as well as some nes ones)

I'll probably just go that route too.
