Some of you may have noticed that certain images would fail when uploaded. I believe we've got this issue resolved, now that we're using a more up-to-date JVM. I also increased the allowable file upload size for all you weenies that upload 5 MB images from your gazillion-pixel cameras (shame on you).

I'm still working with a few users that are experiencing problems with certain image types (ie, some cameras save images using certain ICC color profiles that are incompatible with certain JVMs).

Wow. Won't it clog up all the bandwidth and storage to allow that kind of file size?

No, not really -- we use throttling to manage this. This of it like a McDonald's with 4 registers. They'll can only help 4 people at once; the rest wait in line to order.

^^ You're giving McDonald's quite a bit of credit there. Four registers at one time?

That's like saying Walmart has 10 registers, which they do, but only 2 are ever open...

Ha... the Walmart here has 27 registers and only 3 are ever open so you got a better percentage than we do Paul!
Dain what is the size limit now? I have a gadzillion pixel camera but I have always shrunk the image down to 300 or less per the old rules.

Damn how can you not go to WalMart... they sell PS3 games brand new in the clearance pile for $10.  Only reason I go there but what a bargain!
