If you're like many, and don't make it to the home page much, I wanted to let everyone know that we're going to be broadcasting the Tetris Championships today starting at 1pm NA time (10 PST). This should be going on all day, as at that time it will be the beginning of the qualifying rounds. I'm not 100% sure what exactly will be broadcast in what order since I won't be the one doing that part, but I'm sure the folks at GirlGamer.com, who were gracious enough to allow us to share their stream, will have plenty for us to view.

So at 1 PM, be sure to hit the home page and check it out!

Is there a schedule for when stuff will actually be happening?

Sounds good hasn't actually started yet. It's up and running, but the tournament starts at 1pm pst??? It's 109 now. They'll have some interviews. I'll watch while playing RAGE.

Dont really want to bash the tournament, but... Im finding the laptop web cam quality a little hard to fallow. I tried watching the video on techzulu but its just a still frame with no sound. So far Im not finding the compettators to be all that impresive, possibly becuase its hard to tell whats going on, but the match ups seem kinda short. And is it just me or is there only about 30 people sitting in a highschool auditorium watching this thing, I was hopeing for a more responsive crowd.
Is this thing going to get better?

This!!!! She did it right in the middle of Jonas and Robins match!! That was the one match out of the whole thing I was wanting to see!!

I challenge her haters to go next year and try themselves. I think she does just fine.

Despite the technical issues they were having, we could still hear the action just fine and catch the majority of it. It was MUCH better than having no feed, so again I want to thank the GirlGamer team for broadcasting the event. I know you guys and gals were very frustrated, but please know that I truly appreciate all the work you put into it.

And congrats to Jonas Neubauer for defending his title against Alex Kerr. Alex had some amazing games (580K+) but Jonas was just unstoppable.

Was there a site or anything that has the info for how the tournament went down?

Thanks Paul. Yeah I played above average for me. 5 post-19 Tetrises I think, is a beast of a game. Still not enough to beat the king though. Cant wait to give you all a recap. The prelims were NUTS again this year.
