Any tower defense games for NES/SNES? Aside from Rampart

I'm a huge tower defense fan and the only game close to that genre for the NES/SNES that I've found is Rampart. Are there any homebrews/repro carts for purchase? Or anything?

Slappin' Bitc*es the homebrew was a tower defense style game, although just rapid firing to kill stuffs...

Hmmm...I wonder why there hasn't been a TD style game made (that we know about) since the genre started picking up popularity in the early 2000s.

Because the NES/SNES were dead at that point.  Plus I imagine that throwing that many sprites on screen at once might require more horsepower than the NES is capable of.  I'm pretty sure SNES could, but why would you want to?  It would be easier to just make it on modern platforms with old school graphics where the chains are off and it has a chance to find a bigger audience.

Yeah, I can not think of any. I wish they would have done some but homebrews are going be the only way.

That makes sense. It would just be cool to play that genre on the older platform on a cartridge.

I made a TD thingy for Genesis recently, so SNES would at least be capable of a similar game:
