At work, I've tried to be the guy that takes all the old electronics you don't want anymore and give them a new life (if you happened to recognize my username, I'm the guy that made the Comprinter and Comprinter II. Google those if you want some laughs).

Recently, a co-worker's son was about to take a box of stuff to Goodwill when the co-worker thought of me. Needless to say, I got all of this for free:

Sick! That's how I got my Saturn collection... and atari. My brother in law came downstairs with a box of cib Saturn stuff and was like
" your sister says you colle..."
And I was like
"GIIIIIVE ME THAT!"
And come to think of it. My ex brother in-law did the same thing with a 2600 and 12 games.
Free is the best. Always blows my mind when people have this much good stuff kickin around.

Dude, same. I'm amazed at what people will simply give away. My magical incantations (that I'll share with you all today) are:

"Bro, nice ______." (Chances are, this is a dusty item that clearly isn't being used. Tempts the victim to say "yeah, I never use it, do you want it?")

"Hey, I noticed _______ over there isn't being used, do you still want it?" (Again, probably referring to a dirty item that they will invariably give me lol)

Hope this gains you all some free stuff too lol

This is the funny thing about game collecting, there's a lot of stuff we don't know about just sitting in closets and attics and garages of people who don't know there's a market for this stuff or just don't even realize what they have tucked away. You never know what might show up at a garage sale or make its way to a thrift store.

Great pickups, really shows that it pays to put it out there as a classic video gamer.

Nice. The amount of stuff that flows through the Goodwill auction site makes me sick to my stomach. :-)
