How much is the game cart for Clayfighters Sculptor's Cut worth? Just the cart itself?

Seeing as it may go up in value over the years (as N64 stuff has recently from what I see), I'm thinking of investing in it now and holding onto it for a while, but I'm not sure how much I should pay right now for the cart? I can probably find it for about $85-90, would this be paying too much?

Too much. I'd say $50-$70 depending on condition.

They sell pretty readily for $75+. It's pretty tough to find it for cheaper unless the label is shit or it's covered in Blockbuster stickers.

Games are always a risky investment. Best advice is buy what you like and get two. One to keep, one to sell if the price is right. If you're just looking to make money from holding on to a game for a few years, best to keep it just a "fun" investment, not something you're counting on going up in price... Just my 2 bits.

True. I'm going on the few at open auction. Just like anything, you can tack on %10+ for something that is usually at a BIN.

Great, and instead of creating a new thread, I forgot to ask also the same about Harvest Moon 64. Another US only game, and its quite rare to have (although I think the higher price is mainly because the high demand for it since it was a really popular game). Would $50-60 (AUSTRALIAN dollars, slightly stronger than the US buck) be too much?

If anyone can find any of these 2 cheaper at their local game store or US eBay listings I'd really appreciate your help. Meh, even if you want to buy it from your store and sell it to me for profit

Pick that up with the quickness and pass the value along to the NA family. That has got to be the one game i see in more peoples signature than any other

Honestly. It seems to me you should get the cart between 50-70 if possible before it becomes near impossible.
I snagged mine for $40 thanks to a good BIN and found a damaged label one for $10 locally the other day..
In the short time I've been around here I've seen a jump in the amount of n64 collectors. This game is obviously the capstone of the collection.
New collectors keep coming in, availability dwindles,.prices raise. $50-70 isn't impossible. $85-90 is too high for my tastes considering the amount that have been on the bay recently.

$35 is pretty good. As said, if anyone can snatch I'l be willing to transact as long as it works out cheaper than $50-55 after shipping Help a foreign collector/gamer out, we didn't get that game here in Australia, we don't get anything half as good as Europe and US!

I sold two carts in January, one nice one for $45 and shipping, and another in worse shape was traded for about $55 worth of NES stuff in a "real life" trade. At the time I was underselling them but not by much - it's really spiked in the past few months.

I think the cart is a bit overhyped due to the rarity of the manual/box. Any N64 set collectors on here know how many games are surprisingly hard to find, but those are undervalued and probably will be for a long time.

I sold one for $65 really easy in February. Two or three people biting at that price.

I would sell a MINT cart to anyone interested if the offer is right. PM me if you want pics.

Yea there are a ton of games that were harder to find then SC. Try finding a gray cart Bassmasters 2000. SOme that I thought should be easy as crap to find were a real pain like NBA in the zone 2000, and Star Soilder, but SC shouldn't run more than $75 in good condition IMHO, Harvest Moon not more than $40 for good condition, though I would bet you could get one for $30

Come on now, just because a grey Bassmasters 2000 may be harder to find doesn't mean it should be worth more. Believe it or not there are alot N64 collectors who really don't care about color variants, same with NES collectors and screw variants. It's not just supply its demand also.

Agreed, gray variants aren't a great example because not everyone collects them and we are talking about worth. Ignoring popular games, I think the CIB N64 market prices lines up pretty well with rarity. It's just that there are a lot of underpriced and overlooked games.

I was not saying it should be worth more I was speaking to the part that Krunch mentioned that other games are harder to actually find than SC. Regardless of worth it is in fact harder to find.

It's pretty incredible. Especially the loose one with one of those BlockBuster stickers on the front that is impossible to remove. That sold for $155!!

Yeah, if you guys didn't notice, someone bought up every single CF Sculptor's Cut on Amazon around 4 weeks ago (about 7 or 8 at the time, just like Incantation / Chubby Cherubs). That's when the price began to take off.

I also sold a cart for about $60 4 months ago, then $65 or $70 2 months ago. If a cart is $150, the CIB is every bit of $1200 IMO. Manual might as well get to $1,000 by itself already.
