I just bought ZombiU, put the disc in and the console forced an update. Once I started it up, I got a hard crash on the game menu screen. Reset console, turned on the game and hard crashed again. Rince and repeat 3 or so more times. Cant get this game to work.

I changed my miiverse language to english only like some other forums have said, but that didnt work.

Anyone else find a fix to this?

might be a damaged disc from resurfacing. gamestop and amazon warehouse have screwed up alot of discs by buffing them as they were a blu ray and ruining them

Twas a brand new disc.

Delete what ever files/saves/updates that are on the console from the game and try again.

Did that, still no deal. Seems like this is a semi-widespread issue as I have found several forums on other sites regarding this. Noone seems to have a definitive answer for a fix though. The next thing it looks like I will need to try is turning on the Wifi. From what I can gather there is some conflict between this game and the MiiVerse, so disconecting solved the issue for some, but not all.

Pretty weird.
 

An advantage to console games over PC used to be that you knew they would work without a fuss. I guess they're the same as a PC now.

Update to the latest firmware? ZombiU was released in 2012, so the firmware on it was old too.

Its funny because I saw a forum with someone having a similar issue to mine on the PC version.
