Contra is one of my favorite series, I will get it the day it comes out

I never pre order though, never saw the point. I have never not gotten a game that I wanted at launch.

I might just have to snag this at launch. I rarely pre-order, unless I know I'm going to snag the game anyway and they have a pre-order thingy (ala coin for galaxies)

This game looks amazing. They are starting to figure out how to go back to the basics (NES-era) when games were about being fun.

I pre-ordered from Amazon as I have pre-ordered some DVD sets from them and have gotten them delivered usually the day of, or the day following their releases. I hope this won't be any different. Plus no tax or S&H. The fight for the pennies!

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles. I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english. Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have. I am interested in anything I don't already have!

So true. I mean, in Ohio, tax on a $30 item would be nearly $2.02 extra! I can buy a portion of a pizza with that saved money. Plus I don't have to drive to the store to get it.

Thanks for the idea. I just preordered this along with a handyman manual, which a paperpusher like me sorely needs

Well, my copy arrived today. It's hard. Even on Easy. I got up to the level 2 boss.

The biggest gripe that I'm finding with these DS games is you can't configure your controls. A+B for jumping+shooting would be better than B+Y... X for the hook is fine though.

I'll play some more later.

My copy is still not here :/ Looking forward to it.

I hope it isn't ridiculously hard. There was definitely a spot in shattered soldier where I just couldn't progress and got sick of trying.

I still haven't gotten this one yet. Galaxy has taken up all my gaming time, but I am nearly done with it and need to get Contra. From what I have heard it is nearly impossible it is so hard, but I haven't got to play it yet.

Yes, it is ridiculously hard. I have gotten to level two twice on Normal. It is no picnic.

So many bullets coming from both screens.

Update: I beat the game on Easy. I was on my final continue too... Although I'm led to believe there are more stages after 7 on the higher difficulties.

I unlocked the Challenge mode as well as Contra NES. Although Contra NES on the NDS just ain't the same as the cartrige that's bigger than the entire Nintendo DS itself. It's pretty faithful however.
