I see gvn's data has gotten much better over the years. Most games used to be valued much lower there than on price charting. There are still some weird differences but it's better than it was. How does gvn get their data?

His fantasy football teams could be described the same way. BA is the man. Obviously, I am big fan of the site and hope you made some well earned cash on the sale. The collection tracker is such a good resource. If god forbid one of our houses burns down or we face some other tragedy, there is an easy way to document the losses. Thanks for the hard work

Congrats, Rick! Now I know why there's almost 100 games in the queue to be added. Was hoping you were not ill or something. Good luck with your future and keep in touch!

Ebay's API data

Still needs to be filtered and sorted.

I was *this* close to being part of the GVN team until radio silence to help maintain the PAL NES libraries and maybe introduce PC games to the site as well.

Rick told me that there’s some manual filtering that needs to be done once a day.

I would also really love to see entries for more of the rarer/more obscure things like limited edition systems, controllers, club Nintendo stuff, etc.

I think there loose prices are probably very acurate, but the complete in box is way off, they rely on ebay seller logic, and they don't take condition into account (I've seen CIB games get listed in the new category), the complete in box is a complete mess, but it gives you a rough idea of the value.
To be honest, they should only provide data for loose games, the other stuff relies far too much on condition, what is complete in box to people, a lot of things.

Nothing will ever replace an informed buyer. If someone is solely relying on GVN or PC then that’s an issue in itself. If you want accurate information then you do it yourself or you pay for it...... and I’m more than sure a lot of people don’t want to pay for a price guide.

Condition will never ever be able to be tracked by any price guide because of the amount of variables. I’m thankful for the time Rick and JJ took to producing guides to help people out.

^ when it comes to ungraded games I agree, there's lots of variables. But if you consider tracking sales of graded items , you can get a good picture there, one 8.5 will reasonably approximate another

-------------------------

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

100% agree on graded CIB WATA games. You have a controlled variable as long as you are using them but for sealed games you have to account for the grade on the seal as well which I think will be a little harder to account for in the short term.

if this is Jeff is going to expand GVN to properly track graded WATA games then I’m all for it.

I logged in fine but when I tried to view a collection. It booted me back to the login screen.

That did happen to me after leaving it idle for a few minutes, but I logged back in and clicked a collection and it worked fine. Are you leaving it alone for prolonged periods of time or anything like that?
