My copy of Basic Rifle Marksmanship Program V. 1994.0 has the same back sticker and I have seen it on other copies too.

Sticker on the back = Cool.  I would love to know more about the game, I spent a bit of time researching on the web, & went thru all the basic sites, but still am open to learning more...  None of the jpegs I've googled had the back sticker shown.  It's good that they exist - lends to the veracity of the cart, I'd guess

That is nifty.  "For use for a variety of weapon systems" --- It's like a pre cursor to the CODs of the world...

2500 is too much. 400 is too low.

Here is a copy of the same version that sold for $1700 last month. I saw the buyer left feedback and it didn't relist, but that seems really high!

2500 is high & 400 is low, but that is why interested parties can make their best offer.  My thought was to let people name prices that they are comfortable with.  I can figure out which one works for me, and go from there...  I picked 2500 as an outlier, not really believing that anyone would pay that, but that they would make a more equitable offer....
Thanks for the PDF, & thanks for the link to the 1700 copy.  As far as I can tell, my copy is a little better, but I guess everything is subjective....

The only thing is that I have seen at least 20 copies of this version "found" lately and it is probably the most common of the 3 MACS carts right now. On ebay I see you are still claiming the back sticker is unique and partially accounts for your pricing?

Here's mine with the same back sticker on the same version and I think they all have the same sticker, so it is not unique.

Actually the version I have looks like this one: http://www.snescentral.com/0/9/0/..., version 1.1e, copyright 1993.  Mine doesn't have a sticker on the back but it looks like one was removed (sticker residue).

I know there are 2 other versions, one with "Version 1994.0" and another one called "Moving Target Simulator".

What are the differences between the 3 versions, if any?  Are they just label differences or is the software different?

I thought they were all a little bit different?

Lately, I have been seeing lots of the Basic Rifle Marksmanship Program Version 1994.0 and not so many of the others.

Have you tried playing all 3 of them?  I only have the 1.1e version and no gun, so I'm wondering if the other 2 are worth picking up (assuming I get the gun as well).

I can't find any real in-depth info on the differences between these carts.

I am interested in this as well. It seems that info on the MACS carts is insanely difficult to figure out. Probably partially because we were never meant to have them, but it seems the NA Super Sleuths would have found out something by now.

Just the cart, but the back sticker is pretty nifty--- haven't seen it yet on another cartridge yet...
Here's the link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/171183914042?ssPageName=STRK:ME...

I'm more than open to selling outside of eBay, so make an offer if you're interested. Also if anyone has anymore info. on this cart, I'd be really interested in hearing... This is more than just a game, it really is a piece of military history...
Looks like it sold for $1100

Damn Joe!

I finally picked up a MACS rifle

Personally I think this is probably the coolest video game item you can possibly own. Nothing even comes close.

Hey All,
Happy New Year.  Thanks for all the help w/the M.A.C.S. , You all were really cool ---.    The $ from that is going into my education.
I got a Professor SF II recently, along w/roughly a dozen 3.5 inch diskettes w/games on them...  The best of the lot is Contra III.
I've throughly tested this thing, saving games onto the 32mb memory as well as writing games onto other disks.  I don't know if I'll part with it, I really like it as a nostalgia and practical piece.  I'll be backing up a good chunk of my SNES games onto it, which will allow me to sell the games for xtra college funds.
I bring all this up for a reason.
If any of you all have a way of playing a 3.5 inch diskette w/SNES games on it, let me know.
I've got 6 xtra disks, and as a "pay it forward" I can put any game I have on one for ya.
My collection is miniscule & constantly changing.  Nevertheless, if anyone is interested -- ask me if I have the cart and I'll make you a disk for it.
Here are a few: Megaman X, X2 -- GemFire -- Mario Kart -- Legend of Zelda Link to the Past -- Contra II -- & more than I have the patience to list.  Heck, if you want me to duplicate a game of yours for you, I'll do that (if we can find a way to do it w/both of us feeling that our property is safe).
Anyway -- Excelsior to one and all

I'm visiting my parents in Virginia Beach for the holiday. Checked out Norfolk craigslist for SNES games and it looks like someone is selling one of the M.A.C.S. guns. I offered $50 not knowing what it was and was rejected.
The seller has the gun only, there is no game. He says there were only like 500 of them ever made..

How much is this gun worth??

I do not know much about the price about the rifle, but I can guarantee you it is more than $50.

I'm thinking if he listed it on Craigslist he's willing to take less than auction value for it. If I wanted to get top dollar for a rare item I'd maximize exposure and list it on eBay.

I'd like it in my collection but not enough to pay out 500+. Maybe I'll offer that and see what he says.

Anyhow I shared the link so it's free game for everyone on here
