Replace the main batteries, look for corrosion, etc.

I know Wikipedia is not always the best source for things, but I found this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fami...

Under the reliability section is says that error code means "the Disk System's batteries being low on power or with no batteries put in altogether". It might that the batteries your using are bad, or maybe there is a problem with the connection between the battery compartment and the system.

I just bought some more batteries there and it still comes up with the same error. so is there a power supply that i can use apart from the original one because i heard that was rare so is ther any other ones i can use?

Try cleaning the ram cart connectors and the system connectors. It could be dirty and not making contact.

I tried cleaning it, I am getting a picture on the screen but the game won't start. I've just contacted the seller to see if he knows what i should do..

If you want to get an adapter, try to find one that outputs the same voltage and has the same sized plug before you go buy that ridiculously priced one.

I had that problem. I just wiggled the batteries a little bit and now my drive works perfectly. Maybe i had a little bit of corrosion that caused poor contact.
