I've had the same thought.

I'm going to try and get into things full sail in 2017.  Probably going to get thrashed, but man, these have always been so much fun.

I think my trash talking days might be passed me. I've matured since becoming a tapeworm   

 

Bump. Not long until the 2017 NES season starts. Acquire permanent notoriety by winning some games and getting a fancy red nametag in the OP.  Or climb the all-time leaderboard and knock Mr. Head down a few spots.

And for SNES, someone has to challenge Andy on those leaderboards

Well, looking through this wonderful work here again, I just realized that some genre icons were never distributed in 2013. Tom never got his platformer icon (2nd half), and I never got the Beat Em Up, Shooter (tied with dev2, who didn't got it either) and Puzzle (all 2nd half icons). Yet, I check the Arcade and Sports for 2013, and both 1st and 2nd half winners are distributed?

There seems to be a lot of icon discrepancies. For example Dr. Robbie has a 2009 Game Contest 1st Place icon but yet doesn't have a game contest participant icon. Also the 2012 genre icons are weird too. There a 4 different users with the 2012 arcade icon. (I guess there's supposed to be 2 because 2012 was set up differently but 4 is double that)

The first is easy, it's cause by the time Dr. Robbie stopped playing in the contest, the participation icon wasn't even created. We can give it if asked but we did not search in old threads to give the icon anyone that ever played (especially since the old contest threads are nightmare due to reusing thread for different contests).

2012, it's because some 'bogus' icons (dra600n and Mog I think) were given in order to fill in tournament spots (some genre winners were offered a spot in tournament but didn't participate in it). I don't know why these icons were distributed though... the fact that I'm missing a lot of icons myself can tell that I wasn't the one in charge of giving them  

Ok I now have permissions.  If I could get a concrete list of the corrections needed I can do it today

 

The 2013 leaderboard icons were never distributed. Not sure if that was on purpose or not.

So I can definitely set the order. So if anyone wants their leaderboard and genre awards all nice and sorted just let me know

I think there is some backstory to the boat icon that's even before my time, but I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say.  

We did not make awards for the 2012 tournament winners, we were stupid back then. lol.

The 2015 winter tournament ended up getting cancelled so he went with the leader board champion like in the pre tournament years.
