I have always been a big fan of Namco's Tales Of series and there are many titles  that have never been translated and released locally. I also keep hoping to someday see Shining Force Feather for ds and the next Metal Max game..

What games are you looking forward to that likely wont see the light of day?

What old titles would you most like to see fan translated?

Ninja Jajamaru. It's a clone of Super Mario 3 but with a ninja. I don't think it's been translated but I haven't exactly researched it too much. Most of the games that I wanted to see translations of are fast becoming available through reproductions. Sweet Home and Holy diver were two famicom games that I picked up the repro route. Sweet Home being translated was a big deal because I can't imagine playing through an RPG with that much text and not understanding it.

I haven't played sweet home yet, but I'm definitely gonna pick up a game called Just Breed next time I buy repros. That game looks cool as all hell.

I really wish that someone would translate Kawa no Nushi Tsuri which is Legend of the River King a great looking river fishing rpg on the Famicom by Natsume.

It looks fantastic and has lots of variation different locations / species to fish for and I am a big fan of Natsume as they really made some great NES games, although not that many so quality over quantity!

I would've liked to see Holy Diver personally. Not that there's much text to translate, but to not have to dig up my Honeybee every time I want to play it would be nice

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

I've heard Rtro Game Challenge 2 isn't going to be localized. That sucks. I've played the rom and the games are easy. Just figuring out the challenges is dificult. Theres a kinda point and click game on there with a ton of text. I have been looking at a couple walk throughs, but it still aint the same. I realy hope they change there mind as the first one is one of mt favorite DS games. Super Bummed!

Was it translated? I wouldn't mind getting a repro if the rom was translated in english.

Seems like there are a couple partial translations, but only the intro and title screens. Nothing is complete.

Good news - it was released for GB. B&W for sure, maybe re-released for GBC not sure.

ETA:  Or not exactly! Only parts 3 and 4 of the series were released on GB, 1 and 2 were never localized to the U.S... wikipedia knowledge:

"River King (North America) or Harvest Fishing (PAL) (known in Japan as Kawa no Nushi Tsuri (?????? lit. "The River's Master of Fishing"?))[1], originally released in English as Legend of the River King, is a fishing-themed role playing game series by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nats...">Natsume (known mostly in America for its farming game series "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harv...">Harvest Moon") that has releases on over 6 video game systems. Of these, 3 have been released in America, Kawa no Nushi Tsuri 3 and 4, dubbed "Legend of the River King" and "Legend of the River King 2" in the U.S."

Dragon Quest IX is...July 11th, I think.  DQ VI, I believe, is still TBA for a release date.  Regardless, Square-Enix had better release it after giving us newly updated versions of IV and V.

I've downloaded one of the translated ROMs in anticipation of maybe being able to afford a PowerPak someday, but I don't care for emulators anymore. My vote was under the assumption we were talking about actual cartridges for our north american NES's. That'd be awesome. (kinda like Earthbound)
