Congrats, man! I loved the extra info you provided about your collection.

To the Finder...
The Isle of Koholint is but an illusion...
Human, monster, sea, sky...
A scene on the lid of a sleeper's eye...
Awake the dreamer, and Koholint will vanish much like a bubble on a needle...
Cast-away, you should know the Truth!

Yeah, loose.  No way I'm springing for vulnerable cardboard.  And no up-to-date pic since it's kind of spread across a pretty big area in my secret hidden room, which also does not have the greatest lighting

Hope you don't mind me borrowing your format for the day I read 500 or 600.

The stats are awesome. I didn't keep tabs of everything I bought (as I worked on the set 10 years plus I bought games way before I collected) but I did a countdown of the last 100 and really enjoyed it. It is cool to look back on it to see what the final games were for me. Congrats on 500!

Nice!
It seems like you still have lots of fun games to go just by looking at your collection on here

I wish I didn't start with the rares and good games first because my CIB set has felt like a grind for a few years and I hate buying common sports games just to finish. lol

Congrats on 500! Also loved those personal stats you provided. I haven't counted my SNES games but I think I am hovering somewhere between 500-550 myself. Best system ever 😉

Rad rundown, sir. I wish I kept such meticulous notes. I did when I started collecting more seriously, but I quickly abandoned it; now it's enough to keep my spreadsheet of games updated.

Congrats on the milestone! That's a huge accomplishment, especially these days, with SNES being so hot.

It only took two months because I'm a lazy bastard and I didn't feel like moving them or messing with the lighting:

Also updated a few stats. Knocked out some commons, and finally had an SNES game not work

Are you printing those cover yourself or are they professionally printed?  They look great.

I did them myself which turned out to be a giant mistake.  They look good enough from that range, but up close you'll see I had to cut a lot of corners to make them fit.

But I may end up converting to vertical artwork (I did horizontal, and pasted in the spines), in which case I'll probably turn to other means

Lookin good. Are you going to box them all in those cases or just select certain ones?

I'd like to case them all, it's just very drawn out. The only way to justify it is to buy them in bulk, and my past experience is telling me to just pay for the artwork. The problem is at that point I could buy a game like Metal Warriors for the amount I'd be spending. So doing another set is low priority at the moment

Plus you gotta love the irony of spending $4-5 on a case for a $1-2 game.

And you start to create space issues since the case is so much bigger than a loose cart.  I have long-term plans for an addition to our house that has a wall of built-in shelving, but that is pretty far out
