I found my old airsoft pistol the other day, but there's a small problem with it

if I had it on me, I would probably be shot because it looks, feels and weighs just about as much as a real gun, clip comes out like a real one,  and there's no orange tip (got it before they started to drop the hammer down on that kind of thing)

is it illegal since theres no safety tip thing on it?

I have a similar airsoft gun. Looks just like a Colt .45 automatic. No orange tip, or anything. I picked it up at Wal-Mart back in 2001 for about $15.

If I pulled it out in public, it would DEFINITELY be mistaken for the real thing.
I don't think they're illegal, though. It would just be in extremely poor taste (and possible dangerous) to pull it out in public.

I'd really like to find one of those airsoft miniguns...but $5 grand for a toy that shoots plastic bb's is a little steep.

Yes a Airsoft gun with no orange tip is illegal in WI.If you get pulled over with it in your car you will be in trouble.If you just keep it in your house you will be fine.
