I'd actually want severe weather if I were off from work. I'm a weather fanatic, and am fascinated by severe weather and hurricanes. Before you guys call me crazy, I don't at all like or even desire the destruction the storms bring, I just like the storms themselves.

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

I'm in south Jersey, try doing yardwork in 97 degree weather with 95% humidity.  The heat index is over 110 degrees.  It sucks!

I guess no matter how bad things get here in the midwest, I can always take solace in the fact that I'm not in New Jersey.

Hot here. Always is. Heat index between June and October is almost ALWAYS over 100 degrees. Yeah, it sucks most of the time but then again, we don't have to deal with snow or cold weather for 3 months!

I've gotten some pretty bad storms myself this year, even though I'm not in the midwest. Storms aside, it's quite hot here in Louisiana all the damn time. Definitely good weather for going to the beach.

It's been very hot and humid here lately, as well. Today's high was about 103° (unofficial, though it felt every bit like 115°), and I've sweated so much that I've drunk about a gallon and a half of water in addition to my daily quart and a half of tea (over the course of the past 2 days) just to stay hydrated. I'm originally from the Midwest, myself (central Wisconsin), so you can imagine how difficult it is for me to take this weather.
