Maybe someone made him an offer that, to some guy with a gameboy but no interest in video games, he couldn't resist!

My prediction is the OP will never return. He will box the console up in an unmarked Amazon box and drop it off at a USPS sorting facility. It will never be seen again.

Until you post the pics when you get it?

With some bogus Fibders Keepers about how I found it while after a long night of drinking, blacking out, then coming to in a random USPS sorting facility.

Or when you claim you stumbled upon it for 5 dollars at a goodwill to look cool, but really spent 1k on it.

Yeah, I PMd him with a very good offer, never heard back...

It's rare, but maybe someone had a better offer and wanted to spend a ridiculous amount that I wasn't willing to.

Im not trying to be a party pooper or saying that this isnt real. But has anyone taken notice that this console is spray painted pink? You can see in the speaker vents that the paint didnt completely cover. Like i said, im not saying this is fake. That may be how they were made. Also explaining why there is no game boy logo, a, b, start or select labeling.

Well, he said it was a give-away through Jacob's Biscuits (a big UK cookie brand). There was a scratch off contest with 4 collectable cards. Here's a link to one that sold:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jacobs-...

I don't think Nintendo would custom manufacture Game Boys for a cookie company based only in the UK, so may they had them custom painted by a third party with Nintendo's consent? Crazier things have happened.

I would like to open one up and see if it's uniformly pink throughout.

100% agree with Danimal. The art is quality is the same as the other giveaway Game Boys.

I would be curious about all of this as well. If the OP ever decides what he wants to do with it, let's make a deal that whoever wins we'll take it apart for verification
