I turned $27 and a little hustling into the following. Here is my story...
I have a contact at a local Pawn Shop who is not really in the market of selling video games. I went in today and he told me he had a box of stuff that he would let me have for cheap. He brings it out and there are common games such as Super Mario 1-3, Zelda, Tetris etc...a SNES system and several games Super Mario World, Yoshis Island etc...nothing rare. One item caught my attention that I did not have and that was a copy of Swamp Thing for NES, so I kept that for me.
I took the SNES lot to a local store and traded it in for a game that I saw there. It initially was priced at $49, but they let it go for cheaper. I traded in the SNES lot and got the game and a few other games that I did not have, but I turned half of my $27 investment into a copy of Ducktales 2.
I then took the NES stuff to another local store and traded it in. There was a game there that caught my eye that was priced at $69.99. I told the girl that I wanted to make a trade for the game so I broke out my Super Marios, Tetris, Zelda etc...I then played the card that the game was a little steep, so she told me that she would do an even trade for my stuff. The game was Snow Bros. So I turned a $27 investment into a copy of Swamp Thing, Ducktales 2 and Snow Bros. All tested and working!
