a friend of mine was trying to get into the top scores for Super Mario Kart with a pretty amazing ghost house time.. I don't know if he ever got in there though.

Man, I was born in '91

I grew up with Nintendo Power, though.. I received a big cardboard box full of NP mags from my cousin, early as issue 20 I believe. I played a lot of NES, SNES, and Game Boy when the N64, Gameboy Advance, and Gamecube were being released. I would read those magazines for hours and loved it, I remember looking at the Achievers section and trying to beat scores, I'm pretty sure I did beat a few: Kirby's Pinball Land on game boy and some track on F-Zero I believe? It would have been awesome to have been around for that.

Like 8 years ago before I started collecting, I was at a garage sale with my wife and I saw a stack of Nintendo Power Mags.

I start looking through them and mentioned to my wife I was in one of them.

She was skeptical, though the gal at the garage sale was very interested.

Sure enough I found the issue and my name. I ask "how much for this issue".

She said "take it, after all, it's got your name in it"

This is due for another 4 year bump!

My parents would never pay for any mags. I wish I would have been able to enjoy them growing up. Also, wish I would have registered all of my GameCube games for the rewards. I'm hat was the first time I had a job and bought a bunch of games myself.

Not me, but my brother is. I don't remember if it was Mariokart on SNES or Yoshis story on N64.

I almost was. There was a challenge for Koopa's Foot Race in Mario 64, and I was already speed running the fool out of it. I couldn't take a proper photo of my screen though, and never sent it in. I was high up in the ranking, though... well would have been. It's thr personal, crowning achievement of my gaming life. Yup... peaked at 16.

Please no more than 1 bump every 5 years. I hate to be a hard ass.

If you ban me it would feel really awkward contributing to the NA room next year at MGC. I really want to get a 2nd year out of those banners.

I don't wanna name names, but I know a couple here of people who've been in NP and other magazines, in one form or another. Mostly for art stuff though.
