The thing is that he is firm about meeting Wednesday. I tried to convince him sooner but he is busy with the newborn and remodeling his home. The seller is in his 40's and is selling off his systems/games because he doesn't play them anymore and wants to focus on other things. I am not getting my hopes up until I have the system/games in my possession. Will post the pics and the list of other games for the other systems soon as I get them, will need help making an offer for the other games since he does not have a set price. Hopefully the pictures will tell me the exact condition and if they have the tabs on them.

Yeah don't get your hopes up, you are trapped entirely and that's a bad situation. Between now and then he doesn't have to honor your verbal agreement. Some other d'bag could come in and pay $500 or even more if the dude plays the 'I have other standing offers at $...' crap. Just hope you get it, but be prepared not to since you're stuck for a few days on his schedule, otherwise I'd just shut the hell up, grab the keys, hit the ATM and go.

If the other guy offered $450 then why would he not take it and offer to you? I'd stay $400, don't let him suck you into paying more.

Because typically it's best to honor contact with a previous buyer to see if they'd match. Mind you, it could be trying to pull some bullshit, but it also could be someone trying to be fair. If I were selling something say for $100 but I couldn't meet for a couple days, and then someone else comes along and offers me $110, I'd give the original person the chance to match it as I'm not going to just blow em off as a courtesy but I'm also not going to pass up and extra $10 either.

The seller just sent me the list of the super nintendo/n64/ps1 games, he said it will take forever to take photos but said they are in "great condition". Ok he wants $450 for the nintendo lot, including games and sytem with rob. Based on the price $450 price for the nes package how much should I offer for these games. He is willing to sell separate. Really not interested in the ps1 games, should I ask how much does he want for all the n64/snes games, or should I send him an offer first.

PS1 doesn't look like it has nearly any value, I'd offer $300 on the top stuff.

So offer $300 for the super niintendo/n64 games that would make it $750 total since he wants $450 for the nes package, if I was to sell the super nintendo/n64 games separate on like ebay, about how much is the resell value worth?

Ok just got off the phone with the seller, he is firm on $700 on the nintendo package and all the super nintendo and nintendo 64 games. We didn't talk about the ps1 games, maybe I can get a few games in there thrown in the package. I never spent this much on games. As for as a collector value or resell value is it worth the $700. He will send pictures when he can and I will post.

Called the seller again and asked about the ps1 games, he said he would take $50 for all, which to me is too high, he was explaining how the sports games for ps1 are collectibles, also asked about if there are tabs on the back of the nintendo games, he said no, just cardboard, I told him to send me pics of the front and back of the box. Still like to know if clu clu land and stack up come only in black boxes, since those two seem the most vailuable. Since he wants a lot for the ps1 games not sure If I am being ripped off at $700,  he is firm on price and will be meeting me like 5 minutes away from my house in a public place we set a day for wednesday. Appreciate any feedback?

You're asking a lot of questions but I'll try to help.

Yes Stack Up and Clu Clu Land only come in Black boxes, so you don't need to worry about that.

PS1 games are probably worth very little in resell value, but worth more than you think to a collector. I count at least 7 longboxes in there, so even some of those crappy sports games like NHL Face Off and NFL Gameday do have some value if you find a collector trying to fill holes in their Longbox set.

I'd put the N64 lot around $150-$200 and the SNES one easily $300+. I wouldn't be surprised if you could even get $500 or so out of them.

I understand you being cautious because you've never spent this much money on games before, but you're still getting an amazing deal. Just go with it, and leave the PS1 stuff to him.

I know he is going to send just a couple of pictures of the box of the games, but is there anything extra in the box that I need to make sure thats included?. I remember asking him if the zelda for the nes comes with the zelda map, he said it does. Is there anything else besides the cartidge and its manual I need to make sure its "complete" for any other games. He confirmed that the stack up games come with the pieces, I just have no clue if its all there. Don't want to get home and realize its missing a piece. I need to educate myself in these couple of days so I am well aware what I am buying. I told him I am OCD about game conditions and assured me they in great condition. He initially said he wanted $10 a game for the n64/nes games, then I said I be willing to buy all the n64/snes games, and thats when he said $700 total. I have been a long time lurker on this forum looking at peoples collections and finders keepers . My biggest finder keepesr was at a thrift store, there was Fire N Ice for .50 cents, that was a no brainer, I usually debate on buying $3 games at the local goodwill, so this is like the biggest decision I have to make. I never been on ebay so have no clue on the true selling value of these games. Thanks again for those who repsonded.

Personally, like others have said, I wouldn't be going back and fouth with him asking all these questions. You're getting a great deal and I would just take it as that. I feel like the more specific questions you ask promotes the idea that these games do have a real resale value and encourages them to do more research on them. Obviously he is a collector who isn't completely in the dark but still. And in the end if a 1-2 games are missing the map or whatever it's still an awesome deal. All I would ask about is any games containg pecies relative to ROB because then it really matters

I think he will be willing to come to my house where I have a nintendo and tv set up in the 3rd part of my garage. Perhaps he can demo the ROB for me. I will have some of my family members in the house. No idea where these games have been stored, could of been in the attic and may have moisture issues. Will post pics soon as I get them

You're way too much on the defensive. Like everyone else here advice you, get the deal done before it slips through your hands.

If your going to wait this long, you will never EVER get a good deal anywhere, your lucky on this one that it is still here. Go grab it before someone backdoors you on here for taking so long.

Unfortunately, all I can do is wait, he wants to meet Wednesday. It would of been a lot easier if I could of picked it up the same day. The seller just takes so long to respond to emails, will never put myself in this waiting position again.

I just received one image of the system and ROB, though he didn't mention the condition of the system, to me there seems to be some discoloration. If anyone can tell me if ROB is complete with his accessoires minus the stack up accessories, be much appreciated

Other than his sunglasses (which aren't necessary for game play) all the parts are there.

The seller finally sent me pictures, looks like from the pics there is a couple of missing games, couple of the nes games,I can't make out due to the camera glare, if anyone knows which games they are, I appreciate it. Two of the nes games(the ones I can't make out) looks like they don't come in boxes. Also mario tennis for the n64 doesn't have a box, also trying to figure out which snes game is missing from the list since he listed 31 games and it only shows 30, also I cant make one out due to the glare. Also the zelda for n64 looks like there is a dent in the box, and also the nintendo console has discoloring. I told him on the phone I am ocd about conditions of games and assurred me that its all in great condition. I am going to call him in an hour. Let me know if I am over reacting and just buy it, or aware him of the couple of problems I found and try to adjust price. Sorry for the many questions, and sorry about the pics, will learn to embed them in the future.
