I am stuck at stage 3, round 3. Try as I may, I keep failing to beat it. I need to try to set the board better so I can use the last disk to when there is one or two tiles to clear.
I really need to consider playing this when I am not tipsy...
Level 3 will take a wee bit for me to master...

What I find bizarre is there are 2-3 boards where the game speed is turned way up. I think it's like 3-3 and 3-4?

We played Silver Surfer once all the way back in 2010.  It was a 1-life only contest too, so we didn't get many participants

Bless you for not doing a 1-life Battletoads contest this year. My heart couldn't take it.

I'm pretty sure we did a 1-life Battletoads contest years ago, likely in 2009 or 2011.  We used to do 1-life contests all the time and finally stopped after 2011 I believe due to popular demand.  We still do them every once in a while when it makes sense.

A lot of them were pretty fun.  It really helped you learn enemy positions and attack patterns and I think it helped me get better at certain games.  A lot of people got tired of having to reset their NES continuously, so we decided to do away with them for the most part.

We actually did this 3 times in the past, the first time the contest was still Nesruler's Weekly contest, so the 1-life ruling came from the players.

Those contest were a bird kicking fest and then you had to stay alive and max the score as soon as possible in the game. I finally did it in 2013 somewhere in the fifth stage.

I'm lucky to get one or two extra lives from hitting birds. I've always sucked at that.

Wow, I can't believe we did three 1-life Battletoads contests over the years.  We definitely had to go the route of the furthest progression/low score once bird kicking became a popular way to rack up points.

I really like black box Golf a lot. As a kid I never thought I'd ever like a Golf game, but I like this one as well as the sequel Nes Open.

I don't hate Q*Bert, but I do recognize how frustrating it can be to play. Endorfun is its relaxing, harmonious, life-affirming good twin.
As for Golf, it doesn't hold a candle to Kirby's Dream Course, but it's still fun.

From what I've played, the only bad thing about this version of Q-bert is not showing your score at the game over screen. That is so stupid for a classic arcade game to not show your score.

Where the fuck is James Robot ??? His mom said he couldn't come out to play tonight because of homework! I was confused because she had plenty of time to "play" this week, even with her hectic work week. I just don't understand!😳

I updated with a slightly higher score. Would have had 140k+ had Sam and Slick not taken huge dumps on my nearly completed board. I think they should have been named Douchebag and Asshole.

I was fairly too busy last night to play, but I will try to improve my pathetic score tonight.
