I have a nintendo 64 test cartridge and was wondering if anyone knew what it was worth. I havent really found any prices on the internet or ebay other than a 2 yr old auction where it went for 518$. Anyone have an idea what its worth?

Wasn't there another recent member who always posted this very picture in error?

Change the name of the file attachment and reupload to see if that works or post links to a photo hosting site we can see them on.

This is a very common error for some reason. Does anyone even know why it chooses this picture in specific? :\

Hasn't been a public sale in awhile and this one is always in demand. I have one myself, also curious where it would be at. Definitely more than $500.

None have sold publicly for a while, but I had someone offer me $1500 for mine recently, the deal fell through. In reality I see them selling in the $750-1000 range right now mainly because N64 is so hot, it's odd I rememevr this test cart going for $100 several years ago.

I think it happens when you take a picture with an iPhone or iPad and try to upload it to NA. Something to do with the default photo name.

How is this worth more than most prototypes? I want one and I think it's cool but I'd take a cheaper beta or even alpha version of a game over it any day, even wideboys don't go for as much.

Zelda MM Gray is $1500 and Test Cart is just as rare if not rarer.  Prototypes are 1 offs and aren't good comparables at all.

Also, last Wideboy went for $700 if you want to use that as a comparison.  There's a GBA / GBC Wideboy too, the GBC is even rarer and would likely go for much more.

This is going to be the haves vs the have nots...lol Everyone with one is going to place a higher value vs everyone with out one. I'm partial because I have 1 and want another. An open auction on this is going to be set by the have nots so it would be interesting.

I think you mean the AGB model wideboy is the rarer of the two.

Wouldn't a one off prototype be the rarest item of all therefore commanding the highest of prices? I'm not complaining about the price, heck I just bought a prototype for $5000, I just find it amazing that these tests carts go for more than a 64dd plus a list of titles to go with it.

I'm right with you on having spent absurd amounts of money for protos. Protos being rare in general do not always in return mean valuable. The markets for both are to wild for a 1 to 1 comparison.

Off topic

I had the same issues with uploading images, go to your profile and add your pics there. So go here first - http://nintendoage.com/index.cfm?...

Then choose NEW IMAGE, add your pic, once it shows in your gallery it says OPT next to your pic, click that first, click on the second option which says - HTML IMG Code

Copy that code, go back to your original post, click edit - then copy and paste the link. First time it will show as a HTML link, click edit again and the pic will show save your changes and its done.

I think its a slight coding issue on the edit script.

Back on topic

Kinda off topic, but when the hell did MM Grey get so expensive? Before I quit Video game collecting it was only like $700/$800, maybe $1000 at the most.
