Opening this link will open your default media player and begin the stream. Winamp works BEST, but other media players work fine.

Where this is a BETA, I would very much appreciate any feedback - If something doesn't work, or if it works well on a media player that isn't Winamp, let me know!

Some issues that I've noticed thus far - Windows Media Player works, but sometimes doesn't have the correct codecs installed for certain songs that may have been encoded differently.

But yeah... it's up!

Oh... Also... If anyone would like to do some promos for the show, feel free.

Just record yourself in WAV or MP3 format saying something along the lines of "Hey this is Battymo and I listen to NintendoAGE radio" or "Hey this is Dain, and when I'm not molesting small children, I listen to NintendoAGE radio!"

Be creative! Have some fun! And let the good times roll!

Double Post...

There's about 19+ hours of content right now... I would love to have that bumped up, so I'll still be taking any content that you'd like to donate.

The system right now can support 32 users on the stream. I can bump that up and lower the quality of the stream (96kbps right now... still sounds fine at 32kbps, so I might do that depending on feedback/bandwidth).

Note the instructions that say to only type the IP and port, not the http:// part

Works great on Mac/Safari/iTunes. The listen link downloads listen.pls which automatically gets added to iTunes library. Then I can play directly from there without going to the website.

You could probably get content from bands like 8 Bit Weapon if you have links to their site too. There are also lots of people on places like #nesdev who do NES music, should be able to get them to submit songs.

Thought it sounded like them from their other clip, keen.

Also one thing don't know if all of your music is the same bitrate or whatever but sometime my connection times out, specifically on the past couple of Mega Man songs that came on, is that just me browsing while it's playing and not having enough bandwidth, or how does it work? My first internet radio, not sure

I think I've fixed some of these issues. Timeout would boot your for a full 30 seconds... now its just down to 3 seconds. Bit rate is now at a steady 48kbps - should make it a bit easier on some of your connections.

NGD, I had one problem with itunes. NA Radio has to be the only thing on the playlist. I had NA Radio plus about 100 other songs on my playlist and for some reason it started playing the songs. So I cleared them all out and have just NA Radio playing. Haven't had a problem since

Battymo: Is everything just randomly played? Or is it all set up to play in a certain order?

It's set on random play. But I do have the ability to control what is played. So if we have a special feature to be played, we can schedule a launch time.
