sometimes, but ebays prices can fluctuate Alot, and it makes it harder to get a defined price on something

now that I look at completed auctions, it might even be worth more than that, none of them that sold had all of the inserts with it

hmm

insert isnt really valuable, per se... just crazy collectors want that. and, it is IMPOSSIBLE to price something common like this, as the fluctuation in prices is the only constant that you can count on. you just have to put it up for auction and cross your fingers that 2 people want it badly enough to each bid high!

Look, if you don't like the things that I post, don't PM me about it and don't start a war in a thread. Just FOE ME so you don't have to read my posts! That's why Dain put it there! Use it!!!

^hm. More than I thought. I have a CIB copy in better shape (minus the travel contest insert) that I got for $7, still stoked I found it for that (I miss the game store by my old university sometimes!)

Been playing this game a lot lately, I love it.

wouldn't this count as a variant box since the contest thing is printed on the box?

Sure but what's your point? Variants rarely have more value than the "basic" versions of an item. Especially not for common things. I agree with Seth, you're going to need the benefit of a bid war to get any $ at all, and likely it won't happen since often with an eagle eye and good communication, collectors can sniff out their own variants for the price of a regular copy given a few weeks of trying. It's why I like variant collecting anyways, brings "the hunt" right home to my PC screen.

But there are certainly some people like the convenience and spontaneity of just winning something right-out though so there's a good chance you may find your mark(s).

I was just thinking back to when I was collecting star wars stuff, and people were going a little loopy trying to find variants... (limb color, copywrite differences on the figures, etc.)
