Less than two weeks remain until the mother of all shows: Portland Retro Gaming Expo 2018! Are you in?

Portland Retro Gaming Expo - October 19-21, 2018

This year's museum is going to be pretty amazing -- a history of the NES, with the centerpiece of it all being a complete CIB NES set on display.

I'm tabling alongside Boss Fight Books this year -- you can buy my latest book "Final Fantasy V" and also buy games from me, all at the same time. Convenient. (Exhibitor List)

And of course I'm bringing back the Retrogame Roadshow panel. (Panel Schedule)

What are you all up to? Anybody else selling?

I was on the fence for awhile but decided to hold off. Not actively collecting right now. Would have liked to engage with collectors and experience the event. Planning to attend in 2019 when the bubble bursts. hehe

This will be our first time going out to Portland. I hear nothing but great things about PRGE.
Very excited to catch up with friends, meet some west-coast retro aficionados, and maybe snag a game or two that we're missing at the studio.

I'll definitely be stopping by the Boss Fight booth - was a donor to the last campaign, and need to do some interviewing.

Thanks again for Power-Up and for Final Fantasy V. Both were very enjoyable reads.

Question from a first-timer: if I'm looking to get in right when it opens on Saturday/Sunday, is there a big line/should I show up early?

Half an hour before the show opens should be enough time. There is usually a small line, but nothing Comic-Con sized or anything like that.

Won't be at the expo but i live in the Portland area and having a Super Mario Party party this Saturday starting around noon and going most of the day. If anyone wanted to come through should be a good time. Will also be getting down on Saturn Bomberman and probably some Smash and Mario Kart or other fun multiplayer games. Quaze will be over as well. Always down to meet more NA people!

Still learning how to use the knitting machine but it mostly works!  Today I realized I forgot to mirror the data from the AVS so anything with text is backwards.  Bugfest!  Come by the booth and ask for some free stuff.

I saw Jonas lose at Tetris to the kid on reddit yesterday morning. That was fucking awesome. Wish I could've made it, maybe next year when the doc is done!

-------------------------

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at the Let's Play Gaming Expo last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Oh, my WTB thread is very popular. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, Richard craniums - they all adore it. They think it's a righteous thread.
I'd also like to add that I've got my father's gun and a *scorching* price guide for aftermarket Nintendo games.
Between Dragon Warriors and nothing... I'll take Dragon Warriors - for any of my FT/FS/FO items.

Is that a replica knitting adaptor- or the original?

Not the original, it hasnt been seen since 1987. Mine is built from a Brother 910 with all the electronics replaced. A closer recreation would have been a completely manual machine but that is bad for expo demos.
