Hello and welcome to the second round of the second Sega Master System Weekly Contest!  This week's game is Dragon Crystal.  This isn't your typical weekly contest game!  Slay monsters, gain levels, and find new equipment as you explore 30 randomly generated levels in this roguelike RPG.

Rules:
-Play until Game Over
-Highest Floor wins
-If two players get to the same floor, highest amount of gold wins
-No continues allowed
-Take your picture on the Game Over screen
-If you're about to beat the game (collecting the crystal on the 30th floor), take your picture right before collecting the crystal and a second picture of your status screen

Yikes. 5 days in and not a single reply. Anyone give it a try yet? It's similar to the Mystery Dungeon games (Pokemon, Shiren, Chocobo).

This isn't my kind of game really, but I might give it a try.

Sounds similar to Fatal Labyrinth on the Genesis.


 

They're very similar.  Dragon Crystal feels like a modified port of it.

I wanted to at least get a score in. I'm going to give it a few more tries and I must admit the music is pretty catchy.

Edit: Did slightly better, then died.
