overloard not working

my nes game overloard wont work in my toster i tryed everything when i shake it it kinda rattles what could be the problem is it fixiable

The rattle is likely just a bit of plastic that's broken off the inside. If you have a gamebit you could open it up and check. By trying everything, I assume you cleaned it? How did you clean it?

i tryed just q tip then i did qtip with windex

Windex isn't likely to do much but hurt the thing with repeated exposure...try 91% isopropyl alcohol or amyl nitrate to get that sucker clean a much better way.

I don't know exactly what amyl nitrate is, but if it's Weimann's Stovetop Cleaner, then that is the stuff to use!

While you're messing around with the isopropyl alcohol, get one of your less favorite carts and get the pins wet. Shove it in your NES in, out, in, out. Wipe it off, repeat. Should get the connector inside a bit cleaner. Or if you can get a cleaning kit, they're handy.
