I have a question Tom, I only ever see like 75s and above. What would happen if a game was still factory sealed but the condition wasn't great at all. Would they give it a super low number but still grade it or just reject it. Like say you had a game that was perfect and then someone stepped on the box and damaged it. Would they still grade it if you sent it in? Or would they just tell you that it isn't worth it? I don't collect sealed but I would be so damn picky that I would always be afraid that I wouldn't get at least an 85+ so I would be too afraid to buy.

I saw that Paul had a graded SMB that said 10 for a grade but it was an avatar pic so I didn't know if that was REAL or Photoshopped ( and I never thought to ask him about it.)

EDIT:  I also wanted to say that I think this is a really good and cool idea for a sticky thread you have here, Tom.  It makes it easy for a sealed/vga noob like myself to get a better understanding of how the VGA thing works and get my questions answered by proxy through other members who are active in the sealed world.  Maybe someday I will venture into this territory after I finish my loose collection and get the games I really love sealed and graded, and then I will know how it all works!

Yes as long as it is an authentic Factory Seal they will grade it.  I think the reason you see mostly 75 and aboves is because if the game is that beat most people won't grade it.  Gold is great but personally I think anything in the 80 and up will display nicely.  Heck my Mega Man 1 is 75 and I still think it looks nice.

I finally got off my ass and took some photos. Some parts are a bit blurry but it should be enough to determine quality. So in your opinions what kind of grade should I expect?

Also for future reference, would it be better for me to embed all of these images or link to an album like I have above?

They're the only ones I have for now. The other 4 are in the post on their way. Once I receive them I'll post some pics then do my first VGA submission.

I just got this in the mail today and almost right away I started suspecting reseal. I looked at rarebucky's guide and I'm leaning towards reseal even more. I want to get some opinions before I go knocking on this guy's door. I'll take some of the pictures down afterwards so I'm not flooding out this thread. Any help would be appreciated.

ETA: In picture #2 you should be able to see a good scratch under the seal.

Here's the BIN I got it from: http://www.ebay.com/itm/360428616...

What led you to believe it was a reseal? Do you have any GameCube games to compare it to?

Yeah, this definitely looks different from my other sealed gc games. The wrap feels loose on this too. The fold on the bottom right just flaps( not glued down). The scratch under the seal really does it for me too. Any thoughts?

Here's a couple more games I picked up. First 2 pics are Final Fantasy 5, next Final Fantasy 4, and finally the last 2 are Joshua. These are the worst parts of the boxes. I'm fairly confident that the FF5 would get a gold rating but I'm not so sure about the FF4. As for the Joshua, in the last pic you can kind of see a bend in the box. Both of my copies are like this and seeing as though they weren't made by Nintendo they all may have come like this. So when it comes to unlicensed games are they more lenient on the grades or is it just assumed that none of these games would get very high grades?

The seller says he's confident it's a factory seal. He offered a refund if i wasn't happy with it. Do I need more pictures to verify validity? Another thing I should point is that the inner seal in the first picture is curling in. I suspect reseal, but really don't know.

I'd like to see someone to scan in a sample form with just videogame submissions of the most common submissions.

How would you code a typical NES game, longbox PS1 game, what about N64 starfox?

Also, these don't go directly to VGA. They go to a warehouse and wait to be picked up by someone from VGA. They like to keep their location hush hush.
