I still haven't watched Raw yet this week. probably going to check it out tomorrow. They're on the road to Wrestlemania so you'll be seeing lots of wrestlers coming back for a short period of time. Happens every year.

The Royal Rumble is coming up and there's usually always one or two random entrants from the past.

I hardly watch anymore but this Monday Night gave me a reason to care again: the Funkasaurus, Brodus Clay.

I can't stand all the people saying how terrible BC's debut was. It is actually something fun and new, not some monster heel who will fade away soon. The Funk is here to stay, and was the #1 Twitter Trend Worldwide, which is what they wanted. Hopefully this means he is here to stay.

Totally unrelated but I've watched my fair share of Velvet Sky videos on YouTube. She's amazing and should be in porn.

In college I wrote for wrestlezone and lordsofpain, also had a couple things published in the Torch. namely my article written the night of Vince's WCW purchase, talking about a 24/7 channel and cutting the PPVs into that channel. Funny, 10+ years later, that's exactly what they're doing.

The final straw for me was the Lesnar/Goldberg match at Wrestlemania when both were on their way out and had the single worst match in history.

It's sad, since I was SO into wrestling, that now, the only thing that interests me is Velvet Sky's ass.

I still watch Monday Night Raw, or rather DVR it and watch portions of it later. The late 90's / early 2000's era with the Monday Night Wars were a really golden time for the profession. Don't get me wrong it's nowhere near that level anymore, but it's still somewhat entertaining (at least /some/ of the time).

I watched in the "Attitude Era" (mid 90's-early 2000's?) but when The Rock left, that was the final nail in the coffin for me. I remember back then it was far more entertaining to listen to these guys smack-talk each other than actually seeing them fight most times. Which is interesting for me to hear, is that the Rock has been dabbling in returning to the ring... that would bring me back into watching, I think.

The Rock will be back for Wrestlemania to beat John Cena's bitch ass. I'm an attitude era wrestling fan as well (who isn't). I was out of the loop of mainstream wrestlers for like the past 5 years or so and now just try to catch it whenever I can. I'm more into Indy wrestling and have met many of the top indy stars. Far more entertaining if you find the right indy fed to follow.

Somebody call my mama!

I saw that and it was freaking awesome.  I don't really watch wrestling anymore, but that was well worth checking out.

Aren't there any other late 80's early 90's wrestling fans on here? That was the golden era of wrestling! The peaks of Hogan, Flair, Macho Man, Andre the Giant, Ultimate Warrior, Road Warriors, Bret Hart. The starts of Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, Surviovor Series. The debut of Undertaker still might be one of the best storylines in wrestling history. Macho man beats up Elizabeth! Mr Perfect loses to Brutus the Barber Beefcake! Hogan bodyslams the Giant!!!

I was way more into WCW/NWA back then.  We literally drove 2 hours to the nearest theater having closed circuit to watch the Great American Bash when Sting beat Flair.

You're right....those were the golden days.  Attitude era = close second.

Still always preferred WCW/NWA.

Hey I threw Flair in there I also liked the WCW/NWA, just not as much as the WWF. Flair, Sting, Lex Luger, DDP, Goldberg....good stuff. I loved the Stars and Stripes tag team, The Patriot and Buff Bagwell!

I started to watch wrestling in 1984 and remember getting to watch Wrestlemania 1 on Beta for my birthday. So yes, I got to live through the golden era and the attitude era. And don't forget Roddy Piper!

Definitely! Too many good ones to name. I've had the honor to meet/know a few wrestlers growing up in Minnesota. Bob Backlund graduated with my father and trained at my hometown gym occasionaly. He introduced me to Larry the Axe and Curt (Mr. Perfect) Hennig.

Robbinsdale, MN has produced more high caliber wrestlers than probably any other town in the world. Check out the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robbinsdale,_Minnesota

Well for everyone that watched Royal Rumble here on NA, Shamus won it. Which I dont think is a bad thing. However I did find there where alot of wasted spaces, and shitty suprises, Micheal Cole? Really? Really, Really? Epico how the fuck long has this guy been in the WWE? Although I do beleive that there should be a few goofy characters and unknowns, in order to mark our ear. I also belive that the WWE has to much talent to waste. Either make the RR 40 men or get some of the better guys in there like Ted Debiases or Big Ezik. What ever happened to Sin Cara?

Sin Cara blew out his knee quite awhile ago (i forget which actuall ppv it was,) but i would agree that until half way through it elt like there just wasn't a lot of star power in the ring.

btw how does everyone else feel about woi barreh's new theme? i personally liked the one he had although I would agree he was probably due for somthing new (just can't say I really enjoy it)

I felt the same thing that they lacked star power in the rumble, but would much rather see old schoolmguys come in than epico, primo, etc. It give you just a split second to relive back in the day. Yeah, I know road dogg isn't going to win, but I know epico isn't either. They could have brought mr. Ass, Psycho Sid, etc. Who cares if he wins.....if Sid gives someone a power bomb, then waste that number on him.....just don't let him jump of turn buckles.

On a side note, since I'm an old school wrestling fan, I was a huge ultimate warrior fan (yeah, he is a douche today and I can tell he couldnt wrestle),and other than his loss to Rick rude (Bobby heenan screwed him), sgt slaughter (macho man smoked him with a scepter), and then that bull crap loss to hogan so they could fire up a hogan/piper feud, does anyone remember him ever losing to anyone else? I knave seen matches where he beat Andre and even undertaker, but I don't recall him losing to anyone else. Strictly speaking of when he was UW and not dingo warrior or anything.

Well Taker was just a matter of time, he has to show up to grab his 2 month paycheck. The way it looked, it was as if Trips turned Taker down. Which I think is definitely something interesting so long as they don't turn this into a month long courting session to get HHH into yet another wrestlemania match. I have no desire to see Taker Vs. HHH 3 and I'm hoping this really is one time HHH doesn't interject himself into the spotlight.

amen!

x2....but really who could they get to face Taker that would be a credible threat to the "Streak"?

CM Punk? Don't need it and booked (probably for the WWE Title match)
D. Bryan? Could use it, but he's probably gonna be facing Sheamus for the World Title.
Sheamus? Same as above.
Zack Ryder? No credible threat.
Kane? Done to DEATH and no point giving him the rub at 'Mania against the Dead Man
Cena? Been booked since the day after last year's 'Mania and already big enough.
Jericho? A threat, but isn't needed and probably gonna be involved in the WWE Title match.
The Miz? Possibly could be bought as a threat, but the majority of the fans wouldn't buy a face turn
Swagger? Same as Miz, but less than a threat.
Alberto Del Rio? Same level as Miz, but even less of a chance of being turned face and the fans buying it.
Big Show/Mark Henry/Great Khali? Big men who don't need it and the match would be boring as sh*t.
Orton? A threat, but like Jericho/Cena already big enough and not needed.

Honestly, if they were booking for the future, the three most likely that are left are Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr. But the build up isn't there and he really doesn't have a past with any of them.

Trips doesn't need it either, but who else is there to book him against? Wasting ending "The Streak" on anyone mentioned here (other than the last three or D. Bryan) is pointless. But of course, that's just my two cents...

I'm really hoping they don't go with a third Triple H/Undertaker match even though the talk is that it will be another streak vs career match with Shawn Michaels as the guest referee. The only drama there would be if HBK would screw over Triple H to keep him from breaking the streak when he couldn't do it himself.
