Does anyone have an Everdrive N8 and an AVS? None of the FDS games I've tried will work in the AVS and all produce "Err 21" and repeatedly go back to the FDS startup screen.

Can anyone confirm that the EDN8 FDS games work in their AVS?

EDIT: This was a side-effect of being on the unstable beta firmware. If you're having this problem, downgrade to the latest stable firmware.

Working here, too. What firmware are you running? What is the source for your FDS roms? When was the last time you formatted your SD card and loaded your OS/roms fresh?

Weird. I just got my EDN8 yesterday, so the SD card was formatted last night. The source for my FDS roms is the Everdrive compilation rar on EmuParadise's forums.

They work in FCEUX and on the regular NES, but they don't work in the AVS.

I tried every OS on the EDN8, though you saying that made me realize I updated my AVS to the newest Beta firmware this morning to play with the palette switching. Let me try lowering the AVS firmware back to the stable 1.10 and see if it works.

Yep, sure enough being back on firmware 1.10 set it straight.

I was getting that in b5, b6 cleared it up.

Yeah, I was on b5 and didn't realize there was a b6. I think I'll just wait for the next stable release with the palette option. It was cool but I don't feel like updating again just for that.
