I have a chance to buy this lot. I am planning on keeping it rather than resell. Would like your opinion on how much you would pay knowing your keeping it. I have most of the games but ill sell them and keep these in the boxes. He gave me his bottom price. Will reveal it when I once I see the offers. He is willing to come by so I can test it out and buy.

$200 for keeps for me, that's what I would pay, but can't say if I am too far or close from it. To play I'd find a cart-only lot, but you can make some money back from selling some games CIB for a decent ammount.  If the peripherals are CIB, Price goes up a bit though.

Only the games are complete in games, the peripherals are not. What would be the resell on this if you were to price the items individually?

If everything is in good to excellent shape, you could easily sell for $700-$900.

Not sure, for 46 games, each CIB game probably averaging $5 each equals over $200 though, see if he'd take the $200 offer. That's a cheap price for the lot by far! I'd try for $200 though reselling and keeping.

The seller's bottom price is $400, he said he would drive 45 minutes to come by and I can test it out. He wanted $500 then I offered $350 and thus $400 is where he stands. Kind of on the fence. I am mainly interested for R.O.B and the complete nes games. I already have a system and most of those games, figured I can sell my system/games for like $100. I know its not a steal price, but is it a fair or is it just overpriced? Would you just pass?

if clu clu is in good condition, it can get $100+. All the black box games are coveted. $400 would be a good deal, but $300 would be a great deal. You should jump on it if everything is a 6 or 7 on up. If the boxes are jacked, then pass.

If I were a new collector, I'd buy that lot $400 in the blink of an eye. Without any hesitation. Of course condition is going to matter a lot in the value, but worst-case scenario is that you have placeholders for the collection. If you ever want a black box set, you won't pass up a chance at a Clu Clu Land.

Actually, upon reading this even closer, there's a Stack Up in there. This lot is absolutely a no brainer either way. If items are all "perfect" like advertised, you probably have around 4 digits of value.

But never go into a transaction expecting "perfect" to mean "Mint". If you do, you'll be disappointed 9/10 times.

Also forgot to mention, he is included 2 Guides

Guides:
How to Win at Super Mario Bros.
Official Nintendo Players Guide
Earlier today he said he will send photos within 24 hours, still waiting, If everything looks all mint, I will pull the trigger. I rather meet him in a public place, should I have in come to my house and test the stuff? Not sure its wise to do that for safety reasons. I am sure the nintendo works. I want to meet him in a public place but I really wanted to test out ROB, I know he takes batteries, will I be able to test him without actually having the nintendo hooked up with the game? Want to make sure all the accessories are in working order.

Haha, nope. Nintendo systems/games have a .1% chance of being broke. And 99% of those broke items can be fixed easily anyway. Systems are more, but still, the system is the least of your worries in this lot.

no reason to test the items. meet him somewhere public. after you see the pics, if his games are actually in great shape, $400 is a great price for that lot. the system and accessories are like freebies!

Wowowow... $400 may seem like a lot of dough, but holy crap if all those are in even moderately kickass shape in the box you got a killer deal set up there. I know he's saying perfect but we're still waiting on those promised pics. The simple fact just Stack Up and Clu Clu Land are there in so-called CIB perfect shape you got your money right there for the most part as the rest is just financial fluff.

If the pics prove he's not full of shit, DO IT. If not, there's plenty of people here willing to take the pressure off, myself included. Most I'd resell though, including all the boxes as I don't care about those things, but there are things I'd want for certain out of that.

The ROB runs on D-cells if I recall, you could to a point test him out. Given the large sums of cash involved and the fact it's worth far more I'd go to a public spot with people around. It's not likely, but you could end up being out $400, all what you thought you bought and more.

...also always did want that black Official Nintendo guide you mentioned later in your posts.

thats an easy buy all the way around, condition is key as mentioned already, but you could easily resell for well over 1k if the condition is good. Knowing that you want to keep it, great way start or add to your collection. Def buy. I would in a heart beat. You could sell stack up, clu clu land and maybe a few more games for the $400 and basically get the rest for free!

Do it, soon as possible. Stack Up could get you $250 of that back, probably another $80 for Clu Clu Land. That's a sick deal.

Just got off the phone with the seller. He wants $450 since someone offered him that amount. He said he will send pictures tonight. I asked about the condition and he said they all in mint condition. He said he will send me pictures later or in the morning. Will post as soon as he does. He also mentioned he has super nintendo and nintendo 64 games in the box. He will also send a list of those. Not sure how he will price those games but he is willing to sell games separate. Does the clu clu land game/stack on game, only available in black boxes or do they have regular versions? He said he will meet me wednesday in a public place.

If the ROB is CIB and separate from the console (not a Deluxe Set), given that a few of the games are fairly expensive and a bitch to find in good shape, I would say it's worth it for a keeper lot, but not even close for resale. Try and get pics of the back of the boxes too, most of those probably have hangtabs, so you want to make sure the tabs haven't been raped.

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

Seriously man, don't bother with all of the back and forth at this point. If he's used the word perfect and mint on separate occasions to describe the items, they are probably at least in very nice shape. If he has games from SNES and N64, that only reiterates that he's probably a collector who took nice care of his stuff.

If you keep up with all of this back and forth, you are going to lose out on the lot and be quite disappointed. That other guy offering $450 would probably just pay the asking price of $500 if he knows there is someone offering against him. Don't give him that chance, go take your $450 and buy it now.
