My wife found this sign today for $10 on a local facebook beg, barter page.  Its double sided and has little tabs that pop out of the top for hanging.  

I found one sold for $154 last august.  Anybody know what is was originally for?

I believe there was an option for an additional piece for this exact sign. I believe this was the add on, although Im not 100% sure

You could check the "M" series sign thread to find out!

Also, signs from nintendo with those tabs usually had a wire hanging kit included. Stores could the.n hang them whenever they want (I have some NOS nintendo signs
