Ranking the MCU As Endgame looms, thought it would be fun to chat about favorites.

Okay, just wondering about TS and the suit thing. 

Haha, well, I was just being facetious about taking a back seat to TS buuuuuuuut.... Seems like from the jump PP was talking about wanting to be an Avenger (the "film" by PP?) and how cool TS was. Aaaaaaand they must have said TS's name like a billion times. I know he is an actual character in the movie, but the references were out of hand. 

But... I get that's the point. To intertwine the stories for current/future films. 

Meh... after the clarification on the suit, it makes a hell of a lot more sense. And I can get over the fact that PP is a young teenager trying to be cool for TS. I'm ready for the next Spiidey film. I'll even say that I'm stoked for it. 

As stated, PP's suit in Infinity War was cool as hell. 

Yeah, the backstory for the Tony Stark stuff is all embedded in Civil War.

That movie covered a lot of bases.
 


I think a big chunk of problems Air Villain is having is he didnt watch the mcu movies in the intended order. Hes all over the place. Its not near as good or coherent doing what hes doing.

When I got caught up in the mcu I watched them in the order of release even if I wasnt stoked about one or two of them. Made the ride cooler and more satisfying

Anyways.... this is exactly true. 

I fucked up and am watching them out of order. 

I didn't know I had to watch a Captain America Movie from like 80 years ago so I could watch the newer Spiderman movie. I was just stoked for a better Spidey film. As I watched Infinity War I was like "I would understand these references if I had watched all these movies"

Okay... thank you for helping me figure that out.

I guess I have to watch them chronologically? Fuck. I had no idea how intertwined they were... and not being big fans of most of the characters... I simply skipped the movies. 

I can't start ALL the way at the beginning, good god. 

I think I'll just watch End Game, then the next Spidey one.... I mean... I'm caught up now? 

In the future... I'll give the others that I've shat on more respect, and maybe watch them all... maybe? And when I watch this Captain America movie (to get Peter's back story so I can re-watch Homecoming) it'll aaaaaaaaaall come together.

Looks like we like most of the same ones. I like the iron man movies a little more. Thats the notable difference. Especially the first one. You will like thor ragnorak, infinity war, and endgame.

It's a blast and a movie that gets better the more times you watch it. I was worried going into it that it would be a Guardians rip off type of thing where they're going to make Thor more like the Guardians. It kind of is... but it's unique enough and funny enough to be it's own thing. Great idea to put Thor with the wacky cosmic stuff because The Dark World was so boring. My thing is, I'm a big fan of different mythologies and I already know the old stories so the first Thor was a fun movie with all the fish out of water stuff. Then the Dark World was just like a Thor story with elves and magic and all that stuff we've seen 1000 times. Ragnarok brings Thor into the cosmic Marvel universe which is going back on the fish out of water stuff and to me what made Thor interesting in the comics. I want to see him interact with the cosmic gods. And of course the Hulk who steals the movie and Jeff Goldblum who's really fun. Just a blast.

Finally completely caught up. It's been fun watching through all these. Endgame was a really well done wrap up of what had come before and I'm looking forward to where they go next.
