I know it's probably not possible, but has anyone tried/succeeded at removing a water stain residue from a ps2/ps3 game inlay? There's this inlay that has a large residue that looks like a dark cloud and it makes me want to shout every time I think about it. problem is, it's a not for sale inlay, so it's not something i can replace at the moment, since i havent found another one yet.

If it's the cover art you're talking about, then I don't think there's much you can do. The paper is so thin, trying to remove anything could prove difficult without further destroying the paper and/or the artwork.

I can only suggest keeping it in a safe place until you find a replacement. Don't place anything like headphones on it (I've found that out on accident, the grease from your sweaty ears goes into the pleather on the headphones, and paper draws it out leaving a stain. It's gross.)
