Hey guys... I'm looking to pick up a Flintstones tomorrow.  I saw a local CL ad (luckily minutes after posting) for the game.  Looks to be in great condition, and the guy said it's all good if I come by to pick it up at his house so I can test it out on his system.  He is all for sending me close up pictures of the cart via text as it is kinda blurry on the ad; I didn't ask him to open it up... I'd rather do that tomorrow when I pick it up.

Anyways, it seems pretty legit, and it's at a very fair price.  I was curious if any of the NA members who own this cart could post pictures of the board just so I can write down the specifics and whatnot; I checked ebay, and only see only listing with mostly-visible chip specifics, but would like (at least one) nice, quality pic from the NA community.

Much appreciated!

UPDATE: Successful buy!  Guy was very nice... let me play the game a bit, open it up, etc.  He had a nice collection of NES games, so I immediately felt better as I knew he was in fact a collector selling a double.  I am quite excited; this is the most expensive title I've picked up to date.  Here are some pictures showing off the beauty (I figure it's 9/10... possibly 10/10 condition); also, sorry for the sideways pictures... photobucket was being lame and not letting me edit.

Here you go sir. Good luck with the purchase, hopefully it all comes together. Flintstone's and Jetson's are my favorite cartoons. Hopefully I can get my hands on an F2 some day.

Thanks man.. I'm a novice when it comes to buying big-ticket games that require chip-checking (this is going to be my most valuable single cart purchase to date)... so just to clarify a few things:

- In the link above, the left chip has "9347 E" on the third line, yet the right chip shows " 9348 E", yet most of the ebay pictures I can make out have both chips identical to "9347 E".. why is this?
- Also, the two smaller chips... I see that the one on the most-left (in the link picture) and various ebay sold listings have different numbers on this chip.. why is this?
- The top, square chip... are the letters and numbers always the same across multiple carts?

I can't give you a definite answer but I'm not so sure the third line matters. You want that top line to be correct. That's the big one.

9347 is a date code. Means the chip was made in 93 in the 47th week. Most games use this format but not all. Since theres a small amount of these games that were printed, you'll prob only ever see week 47/48.

Right on.. thank you for that.  Any insight on the other points I'm curious about?

Have him take a picture with a timestamp on it. Reverse search the image he is using. That game is commonly used for CL scams.

Yeah, I would be careful with that. CL adds make me nervous, especially when big money is involved. Definitely bring a friend, or a .357 or something.

I like to think I know how to assess situations... like Mac from Sunny... I'm decent with the ocular-assessment.

Really though, I don't think this guy is scamming. He gave me his home address, said I could test/ open it up, etc. (plus it's not like I'm paying a couple hundred only... I am getting a good price, though)

I'm mostly concerned about which chips matter on the board... just the two rom ones?

Yes and I keep saying people... INFORM yourself! If you cant identify a real from a fake, maybe you shouldn't be purchasing right away. Its not hard at all.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

I've been saving (mostly) all of my beer caps for the past couple years (I have a sick amount), and it makes it so much sweeter now that I play FO4 so much.  I have the main container of the caps right next to my console station.
