Well, I can assure you not $200. Sealed copies are probably worth roughly $40 if that. Complete, maybe around $20-$25 max.

I might be out of the loop on this game, but that's just my guess. Stunt Kids is harder to find and a sealed copy is worth probably $50 maybe more. My prices may be off though

Only worth about 25-30 CIB, and around 40-50 sealed. That auction is comical at best.

my opinion is that the camerica stuff is worth about the same sealed as CIB. Not hard to find any of that stuff sealed.

I was going to say what Bronty said. Sealed Camerica stuff is essentially worth the same amount as CIB. Maybe a little more.

A few years ago all the Camerica titles were available new in bulk for less than $10 each. The supply of these is what keeps the price low today. they may still be available if you look. If not for that these would all be rare games. I've never seen a stunt kids in the wild yet I have atleast a half dozen sealed copies.

On a side note do all of the Camerica titles have a star cut into the boxes or was it just a few titles and has anyone seen these without a star cut into the box?

can't remember if its all the titles, but certainly most. I personally don't recall seeing one without the star but its not like I've been looking.

I've wondered if they sold uncut boxes back in the day and later cut the remainer (the sealed ones sold in bulk for cheap) so they couldn't be returned for credit.

your list is jogging my memory, I believe my quattro titles are uncut too. Can't remember re the rest. If I make it to my storage at some point in the near future, I will dig out my copies for comparison.

adam: could be a return thing, good thinking. Could also just be a brand redesign though too, kind of like konami start with all grey boxes and then cut loose and just used whatever color. I wish we had release dates for the unlicensed stuff; we could test that theory easily if we did.

I forget which ones were cut but I think all my micro machines boxes were cut and its one of the more common ones. I have never seen a micro machines box in the wild but I have seen a few loose carts. Has anyone found a micro machines box in the wild and was it cut?

I think the star has to do with production run. All the late games (i.e. mig 29, quattro sports, quattro adventure, stunt kids, quattro acrade, big nose freaks out, linus spacehead) were produced without the star for faster production or money cost or whatever reason. Kinda like Color Dreams and their blue/black cart deal. Early runs got the blue cart, later runs got black. Early Camerica games (ones not listed) got star boxes, later Camerica games (ones I listed) didn't. Or it could be the opposite where the early ones didn't get the star while the later ones did. That's just my thoughts though.

Buyatari's idea seems like that might be the reason as well. Never can tell with unlicensed stuff :-/

You can still get all of the Camerica games sealed for $10-20 if you're patient. As mentioned, there are tons of these out there. The ones that I would say you'd likely have to pay a bit more for are Stunt Kids and Big Nose the Caveman.

Check out Mike's Game Contents FAQ on Gamefaqs; I got the whole Camerica set sealed and when I sent him the list of contents, I included "start cut out of box" or something to that effect whenever it was applicable... or you could just check the scans here in the NA database. Either way, it's already been done
