I have sent a few emails about this bug mentioned in another thread. It affects firmware going back a ways as well as the latest. Any word on this?

Anyone else notice that on 1.30b5 if you enter game genie codes, start a game, and then return to the menu, codes 2 through 4 have their last letters changed?

Yep, that happens to me, too. You have to manually change the last one if you want to restart the game with the same codes.

Isn't 1.30b5 just beta fw? Hopefully on the newer firmware coming they will fix this issue.

Yeah, x.xxbanything is going to be beta firmware.  At present bunnyboy has his time invested in other things and threw out the last few updates as he had time to dive in and fight with a few stubborn issues.  Once he gets a swath of free time again, I'm confident we'll see another burst of betas with new fixes and/or another new "final" release.

Need Stadium Events + Panesian titles, 6-in-1's, Menace Beach, Moon Ranger & Secret Scout to complete my licensed/unlicensed sets.

If you've got any of the above for sale, hit me up!

The betas are fully functional. There's no reason to avoid them if they fix other issues. The "final" firmwares are just that in name only.

So far the game genie issue is the only issue known, and it only takes effect if you exit the game back to the menu. If you enter the codes the first time after powring on, they work for that game session.

It is beta firmware. But this issue existed in 1.20 as well. A report was sent in back then also.

Not being fixed in the last beta was my fault, the two GG problems were listed but I read too fast and thought they were the same thing. I think it is an easy fix, possibly tomorrow?

Thanks for all the fixes!
There is also another bug that I reported recently... If you enter a raw code such as this one: B671?D0:F0, the code is not interpreted correctly and it thinks it's a different code all together. To check it, I entered "B671D0F0" and pressed Select to verify and the result was incorrect.

Is this also something that's widely reported? Has anyone else seen this?

I may have only done 6 character raw codes? Will have to see if there is a way to tell between 8 character raw and rocky formats.

I just wanted to drop in with another suggestion...

It would be nice if we could start the cart with any codes entered turned off. This would help for flash carts where you'd only want the codes to take effect after you started the ROM. I had an issue where I had a code that corrupted my Everdrive's menu because I couldn't start with the codes off.

Enter the codes in after loading the game. You will need to turn on  "reset to game" in the everdrive options menu. Once you do that:
-Start your game
-Use AVS button combo to exit game
-Enter your codes
-Start game

1.30b6 was just released, and the GG issue seems to have been addressed.

Thanks! I'm packing up my AVS to get the mini USB port reinforced, but glad to see another update. The only other features I'd like to see included included in 1.3 are:

Improved Pixel Aspect Options (Ideally, modifying the current options to be 1:1, 8:7, 4:3 for 16:9, 4:3 for 16:10, and 5:3 (fullscreen))

Palette support for Smooth and Wavebeam

Other than that the console is pretty much perfect barring any bugs.

Have the bugs related to megacatstudios homebrews been addressed yet? I had to revert to older 1.2b7 to get these games working. Will test later...

EDIT: 4/8/18 Just updated the firmware to 1.3b6. I'll check soon to see if Megacatstudios games are fixed or not.

The good news is, Krikzz will try to fix on his end the random white artifacts that appeared since 1.20b6. Which is great because these updates sound irresistible!

This was with 1.30b6, BTW. 1.30b5 doesn't do that.
