Yep, beat the Elite Four and you're good to go. Me personally I am stepping it up a little. I have began to tackle Pokemon Red following the Nuzlocke Challenge rules.

The list is up to date.

What are the Nuzlocke challenge rules?

I am about half way through Boxxle, and I am playing World Cup when I fancy something faster paced.

I've given up on Trip World. I lack the coordination to tackle the last boss.

Essentially, if a Pokemon faints then it is dead and you have to release it. And you can only try to catch the first Pokemon that you encounter in a given area.

The Chess Master is done.

Pac Man is done if beating the first stage counts (the NES thread counts this as beating it).

I'm working on Kirby's Block Ball now.

Nintendo World Cup Soccer is done. The game is a fairly basic representation of football, and some of the matches dragged on too long, but it is an ok effort.

My biggest complaint, though, is the password system. You get a password at the end of each match, but that password takes you to the start of yhe match you've just beaten. Which is odd.

I've always been a big fan of the "Aliens" series so I've had this game since I was pretty young. Overall it is an "okay" game nothing to brag about though. It's a top down adventure/horror survival type of game with some tricky areas that can quickly turn into a death (switching fans off and on and knowing which ones to do and when) so there is a lot of trial and error to it and this was actually the first time I beat it. The game is on a timer for a countdown to when the scientists get there so you have to burn all the eggs, and kill all the aliens before you can kill the queen and leave the planet (which did not happen in the movie haha) in order to beat the game. You have an inventory and can only hold so many items so that's where that survival gameplay comes in knowing what you need to carry and what you don't. I would recommend giving it a try though, definitely a good challenge but once you know what to do it can be done in about 30 minutes or so.

It sounds like an interesting game and also a bit different from the regular GB games. I will check it out in the future.
Thank you!

No one will really care to read this, but the story goes:

I haven't touched my Gameboy Color in over a decade. It's been in a box in my closet. Over the past few years, I've had a tune in my head from one of the games I played when I was real young: NFL Quarterback Club. Literally, a few times per year, this song/theme gets in my head randomly to the point where I tried to learn it on guitar. It's awesome. Anyway, tonight I finally busted out the Gameboy Color (lime green), with my Pelican magnifier/light attachment, and put in NFL Quarterback Club. I remember as a young'in, I mastered this game. It took a few tries to relearn it, but I chose Steve Young on my fourth tournament try and got first place. So, mark NFL Quarterback Club off the list due to my nostalgic needs getting the best of me!

I'm working on Stop That Roach, which is something I didn't get around to finishing last year. It's a lot easier to play once you've watched the in-game help stuff that explains the A.I for the roaches. Currently on Puzzle 22 of 100.

Hey, I liked your story! And I love it when weird, bad, or otherwise overlooked games have great tunes. I'll have to check that one out.

Tiny Toon Adventures: Babs' Big Break is done.

I'm glad to finally break my one year hiatus from the GameBoy thread since last January.  I plan on splitting my time between this and the weekly contests a bit better this year, but we'll see
