Awesome, I can't wait! Thanks for making a game list, hopefully I can pick up any game I don't have on it to add to my collection! I will be doing my best to enter each week.

Edit: comparing the game list to mine, looks like I only need to pick up 5 games, all second half. Guess I will just open those carts and clean the pins then!

I should be in for the first half since I have a good number of the games on that list.

x infinity. The Macho Man will always be amazing.

And bimmy....Contra is a puzzle game. You have to figure out the puzzle of how to kill everything without losing all your lives.

If that's the case, then most of the games on the list this year should be considered puzzle games

My NES collection count: 757 games (16 to go for a full set)

Latest Purchase(s): Snow Brothers

I am definitely joining the contest this year. I skipped 2013 on the overall. I didn't see the answer to this in the first post, so I figured I'd ask here: For games like SMB, where emulators aren't allowed, is it acceptable to purchase the game for the 3DS virtual console and include a pic with the 3DS and my name in the signature? Most of the games I'll probably have to play on Nestopia, but there are some that I have for either the Wii or 3DS VC. I love those banners too; I'm going to add one to my sig as well.

For SMB, as long as the VC version is identical to the NES version, it shouldn't be a problem.  For SMB, I want everyone to play it on a console.  It's an extremely common game that just about everyone should have in their collection, so there's no real reason to emulate that one.  If someone does not own it, the game is extremely easy to find at a local game store or online.

It depends on the game.  A lot of sports games we play are scored off the differential between your score and the computer's score.  For example, say you beat the computer 5-1 in Blades of Steel.  Your score for that contest would be 4.  However, if you lose to the computer 5-1, your score would be -4.  It may sound confusing at first, but a lot of people enjoy this scoring system.  For games like Skate or Die, you would compete in several events and your total score from all the events would be your final score.  We try to mix it up a bit so that the sports games are scored a little differently each time.

There has been a change to the game list. In the 1st half, Ninja Gaiden 2 has been replaced with Kabuki: Quantum Fighter.

You are now officially my NA BFF, or maybe you can just read my mind. I was playing Kabuki last night and was thinking about how much I want to play it in the contest this year. Great choice!

Wow... out of the whole list, I only have TMNT 2!
I will try to acquire a few to take part in some of the weeks.

It is good to be back.

On a random note, I hope Castlevania 3 gets replaced with Legend of Kage.
Last time we've done that one was quite fun.
