I'm not sure on the value, but a 5 screw Jaws is pretty rare.  If the thread below is up to date only 7 or so are known to exist.  Nice find man!  Hopefully someone can help you out with a value here

Well, the really sad part of this story is that I didn't realize it didn't have tabs until I was going to ship it out to the guy who paid $2.95 for it. I appreciate the info though. I'm going to go headdesk now.

That sucks, dude. You should get someone on here to send their 3-screw copy of Jaws to the guy instead and you can reimburse them for it.

Did you sell it on eBay?  If you did, did the guy see a an actual picture of the 5 screw you were selling?  If not then I think Krunch has a brilliant idea!

I wish I could. It was an actual picture, and based on his past purchases I'd say he is a collector who noticed the variation.

Well, I guess you're screwed then. Lesson learned for everyone, check for variants before you sell anything. At least it's going to a collector.

I emailed him about it. If he doesn't care what he gets, I'll go hunt him down a 3 screw REAL fast. If he does, then oh well. I can't afford to lose my powerseller discount over this.

I'm pretty sure he wants the 5 screw. If not, after the message you send him he's going to look up why your asking him if he wants a 3 screw.

That sucks man.

Yeah, I think so too. But I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask, and take a chance that he's a super nice person who realizes I made a huge mistake and will let me keep it. Wishful thinking. I'm waiting for a response before I ship this thing.

EDIT:  He bought it because it was a 5 screw.  Oh well, lol.  Lesson learned.

Ask him if he's a member here. I'll add him to the list if so. If not, I suppose I can just list it as" sold on Bay".

Naah, I'm an honest guy. I can't be like that. I've got it packed up and ready to go. I just told the guy congrats on having the 8th known jaws cart, lol. Still a little sick at my stomach about it, but oh well. I'll come along another one some day.

It's worth about $50 right now, but when collectors start collecting variants (more so than they already do)...and I imagine they will eventually, there's no telling what these will be worth.

I know it's shady, but screw em. Just email him and say you did a final test before doing postage and it's defective. You cleaned it inside and out and no matter what on multiple decks it won't work. Then refund the guy and call it done and/or offer to track down another Jaws and send it to him free of cost due to the headache.

Does it really matter? Just get another Jaws and replace that back with a five screw and you'll have another 5-Screw Jaws.

You can't put a 5 screw back on a 3 screw front. If you could, nobody would collect screw variants.
