I've been trying to figure out which Nintendo games came out as player choice.  I've seen a list or two on the internet, including one on Wikipedia.  I've noticed errors and incompleteness in both.  So I've taken it upon myself to come up with a better list.  I'm looking for only Player's Choice titles that came with the yellow "Player's Choice" banner.  Only looking for North American P.C. titles.  I need  help confirming some of these.  Everything liste I've confirmed with my own two eyes.    Some of the others may or may not exist.  I'm still trying to figure that out.

Thanks very much. I'm guessing this won't be a hugely popular post. Which is okay by me. Not a ton of people collect Gamecube and even less look for Player's Choice. But I figured that if someone is interested in the information, perhaps they google "Gamecube Player's Choice list" or something like that, it will pop up and be available. It surprises me that this information (in an accurate way) isn't really out there anywhere.

I will definitely be using this list as reference. The best list I could find had Eternal Darkness as Player's Choice which I'm pretty sure is wrong. I think I read somewhere that some games were eligible for "Player's Choice", but not every game decided to go with the banner and just dropped prices. Maybe you told me that, lol.

Ha, yeah, it might have been me. I think that's part of the reason that some lists aren't very good to go off of. Some games might be called "Player's Choice" by Nintendo but never had a cover redesign. So that messes things up.... that's why those arn't part of my list. I'd also say that about half of those "unconfirmed" games listed above probably don't exist as Player Choice titles, but I still trying to double check that.

It's awesome how much work you've put into your variant lists for the GC. If I find any of the unconfirmed ones, I'll let you know for sure.

I retract that thing about Eternal Darkness I said in my pm. I think I was confused haha, because I'm not seeing any on eBay.

Also, the Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness doesn't have a player's choice, but rather an alternate cover with "Best Seller" on it.. There are only 2 on e-bay.

List 2.0 is up.

Nice find theguy1962! It's been added to the list. Same with you VideoGamesIzFun, added to the list!

CaptainPiracy - Good job on noticing that. I've been tracking those "Best Seller" cases, but I didn't have that one. So far I believe there is 13 games with the "Best Seller" badge. I'll get that list posted at another time. Maybe in my variants thread. Speaking of variants, I found another one. Crash Nitro "Bonus CD" variant. I'll add that to my master list.

Found a nfr player's choice best seller variant for wind waker. not sure if it's common, but it's the only one I found on eBay when I scanned a few pages of the game.

coffeewithmrsaturn - Yeah those NFR variants are really part of this list. Those are cool though and can be pretty uncommon. I believe theguy1962 has a copy of all the Zelda variants.

lb1993 - True Crime LA is one... but how about True Crime New York, have you seen that as a Player Choice title?

Here's one for ya.  Not a Player's Choice but a re-release of Top Gun: Combat Zones under Mastiff.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Top-Gun-Combat-Zones-Nintendo-GameCu...

Also Super Mario Strikers was re-released with "Best Seller" added to the cover.

Added MVP Baseball 2005 to the list. (Thanks to Zimphbah)

Also, I'm now not sure about Prince of Persia or Star Wars Rouge Squadron III being on the list. If anyone has these games as Player's Choice, please let me know.

I noticed you have Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow listed under "unconfirmed." Well, I can confirm that both the first Splinter Cell and Pandora Tomorrow were re-released as Player's Choice titles in Europe. There are some Player's Choice copies on eBay now from sellers in France.
