Capcom out of nowhere has announced the Beat 'Em Up Bundle, a collection of seven classic Capcom arcade games being ported across all modern consoles and PC. Included in the collection is:

• Final Fight
• Captain Commando
• The King of Dragons
• Knights of the Round
• Warriors of Fate
• Armored Warriors
• Battle Circuit

The collection marks the first time Armored Warriors and Battle Circuit have been put on console. The collection is set to release next Tuesday, the 18th for $19.99. I'm pleasantly surprised the hear this announcement. This is a great set of games at a decent price. The only way this collection could've been made better is if Capcom could've somehow scored the rights to include Aliens vs Predator.

But d@mn that is a still a mighty fine collection of brawling goodness and not a bad price at $20.  I assume most companies would divide these up and sell them for $10 a pop.  7 Good-to-Great Beat em ups is a steal!  I might even double dip and get it on PS4 and Switch.

This is a DAMN fine collection and I cannot wait to beat the hell out of bad guys in all those games again.

A shame about the lack of AVP, but securing the rights to release that one would have been a major mess.

Great deal for $20, these are some awesome games (at least the ones I've played). I too am hoping for a U.S. physical release, but maybe since it's Capcom they would force you to download half of the games anyway to your Switch   Still hope it comes physically and maybe I'll just grab the JP version if it has English...

But then what do I do with my hunk a junk PS3 that sounds like a god damned airplane taking off? So sad about technology.

$20 is a decent enough price with all those arcade games, but I really wish they'd have gone physical with this. I've never paid that much for an unowned game before, don't feel like i want to start there, but maybe I will since I justified buying FF15 already since it was $18 down from $30 (or over $50 on Android and iOS as they charge by the chapter.)

Does anyone know if those Mega Man games they sliced up in this country with the awful downloads for the second title were done like that in Japan too?  Same site has the Rockman collections.

Or do that.  It's where I got I Am Setsuna when it came out, and they do a nice deal when a purchase hits a level, shipping goes free so I got the game for the same price as the digital trash in the US.

 

That's fucking ill. I consider Knights of the Round/King of Dragons/Final Fight as sort of "spiritually connected" not that they are particularly similar in gameplay but that they all three come from Capcom arcades and solid in their only right. When i read the title i was like "oh shit, are they gonna include all...?" and lo and behold it turned out that's exactly what they will! With 4 additional games this release is stacked for sure and pretty fucking awesome.

Yes the PS4 Pro version is...and coincidentally a NA member is trying to sell one in the FS section...sweet system if I do say so myself.

 

Both D&D games are already out as a stand-alone release from a couple years ago.

Just could've wished the collectors edition was something more tangible like they did with Final Fight: Double Impact getting tired of having 300 new papers every fucking time.

I have most of these games via their console ports or the actual PCB, but I bought this anyway. Kinda neat to have them portable on the Switch.
