Just wanted to mention that I just posted this:

Unboxing of Wheel of Fortune for the Game Boy
http://nintendoage.com/forum/mess...

It's an unboxing of a GB cart that I opened and documented so I could have a reference for a "perfect" cart when grading my cartridges. For posterity, I've included additional photos of the unboxing.

Yeah, that's a great entry, and many thanks to the fella who opened it up. And yes, the list lives on, it's just slowed down a lot over the last few years, but it will still be getting the occasional update...

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

My first contribution to the thread! From what I can tell this is a new addition too. This game was annoying me to find 100% Complete so I found a cheap sealed game to open and verify myself.

*...and the clear plastic bag the cart/dust cover were in.  Some of us nerds look for legit 100% when we collect stuff.  Or... is it assumed that all licensed NES games came in those plastic bags?

And the clear plastic bag... and the styrofoam.  Those are implied.  The dust sleeve is only clarified because there are different variants of it.  I suppose the blue styros also exist for the oversized manual games, but styro and bag are implied.

Ok, cool.  I know I'm not an active member of this discussion.  Maybe, I guess, it's only worth mentioning when something so absolutely common doesn't exist or, as you said, is a variation like blue styrofoam (which I've never seen before.)

Very Nice! Definitely an uncommon game. Hope it didn't cost too much for a sealed one.

Well don't worry, it isn't sealed anymore!  I'm just over here doing my duty, and I'll continue on opening up as many sealed NES games as I can before I die...

Thanks again wiz for your work with this (and thanks to Dr. Morbis for all the help, and to everyone else who has contributed).

Question: While I know that "unofficial" submissions are not allowed, is there any forum thread discussion or database which lists the probable contents of games which haven't yet been confirmed opens from factory seal? I know this is speculative data, but could still be useful in the interim until a sealed copy is opened (which for some games will never happen).

Thanks!
