Okay, so a while back I got my Sky Kid prototype. Of course, I had already seen the inside before buying it and I, again, opened it up and looked inside upon receiving it. That's when I noticed the wires. My question is simple: What are those wires for, what do they do, etc.? The prototype is identical to the retail release.

I'll post a picture if you guys need it.

EPROM pinouts are not always identical to mask rom pinouts. As a result, many reproductions/prototypes require some rewiring in order to operate properly.

Thanks for the response. What are "pinouts" and "mask roms"? Sorry for the questions, I would just like to know all about it.

Mask ROMS are the ROMS used in Nintendo games and that are custom made with custom pin outputs compared to the normally used EPROMS and such. Pin outs are basically a chart of what each pin does in a nutshell.

I'd be confused seeing all that. Lol. The Sky Kid proto has a different board, I think more EPROMs, and a lot less wire. o.o

Do you have a picture of the prototype board? I may be buying one tomorrow.

Thanks

Dan
