Oh yeah you're right. I remember seeing the loopy mapper now...I just never bothered to DL it because the JP version is better anyway (not censored, better music). Just got it though, game seems to work Thanks for mentioning it!

You don't have to beat it. Once you get down to your very last life, when lives show ZERO take a snap, that's your score. Unless you are good enough to beat it before then, are you? I may give this a try on emulator, not going to be able to play as well as on the NES, but kinda want to play it.

Good luck beating it....it's the hardest Castlevania in the NES series in my opinion.

hah, did everything wrong: japanese version, and played beyond life 0. Guess it's just participation point for me this time. Miss Clawful and Mog guarantee I won't be getting near the top 3 (assuming there are another two good players besides them).

No worries about me, not playing this time. My copy is faulty, and emulator is out, prefer not to play any games on this because I would not be at my best without an NES controller. So, just sitting back and watching.

Power Tips : Play Grant's level for extra points and 2x 1 up (1 for sure,1 if your lucky).Then play sypha's level.If your lucky you will get a 1up after the boss fight.Do not take Sypha with you!! Grant is a beter jumper and can help you avoid some cheap deaths.
With Grant you can also take shortcuts and pick up some more 1ups later in the game.
Use this tips for more points and a deeper run.
